Wonder if Pitt will go after him again with the Rutgers coach fired. Some will joke about stealing a Rutgers recruit but we have a few nice players that we took from Rutgers. One expl is Campbell who is having a nice year as he is 3rd on the team in tackles, has a sack, int etc.

I know this is a small class and we actually have nice depth with KP, Patti and most think Beville has big potential. But you can never have enough QB prospects.

No idea how he is playing. Only saw his Jr highlights. An article I read about him said his biggest strength is his accuracy...

Yes I think you should bring in a QB every year. But most good ones have given verbal commitments at this point. I trust Whipple, if he likes Simon then now is a good time to go after him.

Moving forward, I suspect that Pitt is going to be an attractive option for high level passers and receivers given Whipple's game planning, play calling, and the nation-leading receiving production by the duo of Ffrench and Mack. Assuming Kenny returns this week, his numbers this year are going to blow away his numbers from last season.

Agree. The 3 WR verbals are a nice start. The FL kid had a bunch of big offers. The kid from MD is a playmaker and the kid from GA can flat out fly.

I saw him play a few weeks ago and wasn't too impressed. They do have a tight end that looks like he's going to grow into a being a very nice player.

I don't think Pitt is going to take a QB recruit this year. Doesn't seem like there are any left they are going after. Maybe they go after a transfer for depth.

Need a true dual threat QB in the worst way on this roster and Simon ain't it - H2P!

KP is actually a good running QB. Does he run a 4.4 40’...no. But he is underrated as a runner...has had some big runs this year. And he clearly has improved as a passer.

Agree about bringing in a QB every year. Especially with injuries and the large number of QBs who transfer. Say next year Beville has a great camp and beats out Patti for the backup spot (no idea if this will happen) then you are left with just 2 QBs. That could turn into a disaster if injuries take place.
