Since really nobody really knows what's going on behind the scenes at this moment, lets relax a little bit. It's only day three of the coaching search. Name some off the wall noncandidate you would like to see coaching the Panthers. Have fun with this and get creative with actual basketball names.

Derek Fisher- Complete flop as a head coach in a terrible situation in New York. Could clean it up in recruiting guards just based on his name alone.

Jay Billis- No way he would ever leave that cushy gig at ESPN, but lately he has great experience of complaining of calls on television maybe now he wants to do it on the sideline.

Kevin McHale- Two great years of coaching the Rockets until self implosion this year. Maybe he is tired of EGOs the size of Semi trucks in the locker room.

Joe Lombardi- Former Jamie Dixon assistant who has turned IUP into a D2 powerhouse. No way he would even get a look, however his track record at IUP and pulling kids at a D2 school from Virginia and Maryland would be interesting.

I'd prefer hiring Beard, and then Fisher can coach his alma mater. Beard reminds me of Howland. We would be a much better defensive team that pressures the ball, and play with passion like those old teams here did.

My list is as follows:

Fantasy - Gregg Marshall

Others that could potentially be had???

Kevin Keatts
Chris Mack (probably not realistic, either)
Will Wade
Bryce Drew
Chris Holtmann
Danny Hurley

If we are going to have fun with this, I'll pick Phil Jackson................

Greg Marshall would be a close second

Luke Walton.

No. Just no. D Fish plays folks dirty. You don't want your players worrying that their coach will steal their girls.
