Finally!!! It’s back

Love this news. I played the hell out of this game. So fun. I remember I used to always place pitt in a new conference because I didn't like the crappy big east. Usually I had them in the ACC

Fortunately NCAA 14 did have Pitt in the ACC- I'd often do the opposite and put them in an old Big East with Miami, VT, BC, WVU, Cuse, Temple, and Rutgers. Or put them with the other old Eastern independents in the Sun Belt so there would be less guaranteed bowls.

Biggest news since my Teambuilder West Pennsylvania Bucks made the BBVA Compass Bowl on Sunday.

Best post in awhile.

My son has been begging me to get him the college football revamped mod which has the new uniforms (even Pitt's steel ones) and rosters. But I'd have to get a new modded 360 which isnt worth it.

I’m showing my age, but on my dorm floor, we used to play that football game that was made by Sports Illustrated - based on the statistics of the best college teams of certain years. So one could match an early 1970’s Notre Dame team against a number of other teams, such as one of the great Oklahoma or Nebraska teams of the early 1970’s. I’m happy to report that the 1976 Pitt team went undefeated in every game that they played - it didn’t matter whom they played.

Interestingly, Pitt’s closest games were against the Penn State team (I forget which year) that was available.

There was an NFL version of the game, too, but those games were never as exciting or high-scoring as the collegiate games.

Was the name, "Bowl Bound"? I loved to play that game.

The '69 Texas team had one heck of a D.

I hope the college basketball game comes back also. It wasn't nearly as successful and the gameplay on it was always subpar but given that EA has gotten out of the NBA market, you'd think this might be something that would be a profitable market for them. And nowadays, they could add High Schools, AAU teams, etc. Could even have a HC handing bags of cash to recruits in the recruiting mode.

I was always impressed by the fact that NCAA Basketball had two commentating teams (CBS, ESPN). A rarity in sports video games.

I wonder if you'll have to Tweet at recruits and make hype photo shoots for them in the recruiting mode.

The 2K college hoops game was fantastic. EA made a game that was good earlier, but wasn’t anywhere close to as good as the 2K game from 2008. Very real and had all 350+ schools. They even had an NCAA tourney selection show, real arenas for the major schools, most actual arenas for the conference and NCAA tourneys, even the NIT. Some guy actually went through and edited all of the names for every school and made them available for download. Just a great game. If there’s going to be a college hoops game, you will want 2K to make it.

Re: the older sports games, some of the other guys enjoyed playing the “Strat-o-matic” football game. But overall, the Sports Illustrated game was more popular on our dorm floor.

Where can I find info on that?? I STILL play 14 to this very day. I'd love to see the Michigan " Jumpman " uniform sets

I would point you to a forum called "operation sports" for most up to date NCAA 14 info. I know the mod is called College Football Revamped, if information isn't found there. But that's where the info on adding a 4 team playoff through modification was... I never figured that out, so I didn't see much hope of figured out College Football Revamped.

I myself settle for updated rosters from the community there yearly.

There's a picture of the Mich uniforms on their twitter site but Im not sure why of all unifroms, you'd be excited to see those ones.

Here's a tweet showing the Steel Pitt uniforms. These guys are unbelievable. They even put in a fanless covid mode and made neutral site games as one half being fans from the one school and the other side being fans from the other.

I just jumped into revamped a few months ago on pc. Someone working on that mod is clearly a Pitt fan as they have some pretty generous ratings.

They are currently working on changing the bowl system to the playoffs, not sure if they will be able to finish it before they get hit with an EA cease and desist.
