I'm not even sure Parker should be in the HOF, but an entire generation of voters didn't see Dick Allen as a Hall of Famer, which simply points out the fact that entire generations of sports writers can be not very bright at all.

Or, if you prefer, are more than willing to let their personal biases stand in the way of making the obviously correct decision.
