Lots of talent still out there for Duzz & Crew to land.

Realistic Options left:

-Damar Hamlin-1A-Hope he likes to play early, because definitely has a shot to start next year if he proves himself. Duzz & Crew know after this year our current DB's aren't what they need in the system, only Whitehead. Hopefully we see him starting next year next to Whitehead!

-Khaleke Hudson-1B-Kid is a player and can play anywhere from DB-LB-RB really hope Duzz and crew land this kid and get rid of the stigma Mckeesport kids dont go to PITT. Will play early somewhere. Hope he sees through the PSU staff and how they had him as an option B recruit when he wanted to commit back in August, was always Option A for Duzz & Crew.

-Quayshon Alexander-Only prospect who didnt commit from that previous OV weekend, YET! Would be nice to land another great DE prospect to continue to build the position. Between us and NEB

-Amir Watts-DT is a true concern for next year and this kid would play next year. Really seems to want to go Big 10 route, but I think once he is on campus-The Duzz will show him the opportunity that awaits him next year at PITT. Could consider him 1C for priority recruits to finish class.

-Johncarlo Valentin-Think staff really wants him at DT, but could even be a OG on offense. Really big kid similar to Jarrett. State Champ & Has 4-Stars so why not?

-Desmond Chapple-DE think he would be option B to Alexander-Depending who commits from 1A & 1B they may or may not have room to take Desmond, keep in mind they did miss on DE last year.

-Elias Reynolds-LB need to continue to build this position-Galombo-Capara-Bradley does not sound good for next year if they are the starters, think this kid commits to PITT and adds to Pine & Pugh which both could push for PT next year

-Tyrone Hill-DB think they only take his commitment if they miss on Hamlin, have alot of DB's coming in this year. Would be nice to get in at Don Bosco Prep, been awhile since the Wanny days

-Jo-El Shaw-Really wants to play RB in college-Like what I saw from games this year-very talented-heard about the grades being a concern, kid can play football and that is why Duzz & Crew really want him, there type of player, think he goes elsewhere, can't have them all

-JUCO QB-Think we need one just in case with Peterman-Ford has always been an interesting prospect-Wonder if Duzz & Canada like what they see? JUCO could always be safety net if Bertke is not ready in 17' nor MacVittie-Maybe DiNucci will surprise? PR to PITT pipeline! Keep em' home Kasper (Phil Jurkovec)

I think Shaw is already committed to Western Michigan. I remember being surprised when I saw that. I assume Pitt laid off him because of academic issues.

I've seen a couple of other names no on your list recently that appear to be very interested in Pitt, one is a big OT from PA who decomitted from Maryland.

How many scholarships does the staff have to give?

Would say 6, but could push it to 7 if right players want to come to PITT.

With 3 guys coming in early goes against last years small class

Thing is guys need to leave the program as well, those conversations to come in the near future

Good list but I'd add Robert Washington, the RB, or the Deveaux kid and the OL from E. PA. whose picture is on the front page.

Appreciate your post.

I'm already pretty pleased with the incoming class. I was expecting us to only take 16 or so recruits, so we have already exceeded that number. And I was expecting maybe two 4-stars and two 2-stars and the rest 3 stars. But we have four 4-stars and a couple more who sure sound 4-starish - e.g. Thomas MacVittie, Bricen Garner, Maurice Ffrench...

If we can finish with a couple of the guys you listed, that will certainly be icing on the cake.

Go Pitt.

Any recruit committed or thinking about committing to psu seeing what's going on there With the mass exodus of coaches and players and other committed recruits has to rethink their choices, psu is a mess,, that program is going straight down hill under Franklin, I don't see him there much longer

Wallace is another guy, committed to Cincy, but they are pushing pretty hard for him. Explosive player, they want him on offense as a deep threat. Will be interesting if he comes.

Andrew Trainor-TE might be a good possibility as well-We need another TE since none last year and Clark coming in-Plus losing Harper so need some depth who can play next year if needed

I guess Pitt is trying to flip Elijah Johnson away from Rutgers, a 6'5" 290 lbs OT 3 star from MD

I think if Hill commits, it means we missed out on Hamlin or Hudson. I do think a JUCO QB is in the works and we will definitely take one.

I think we have done all we can to get these local guys. It is a the point where if these kids don't want to stay and represent Pittsburgh and if not good riddance to them.

We have better facilities, a better team, more fan turnout and a much better defense. These kids should want to stay and represent their home town.

I do think some see 3hrs away far enough to stay out of trouble. Probably get a couple surprises but doubt all these 19 sign.

While he did commit there, he also set up an official visit to Miami on the same day.

Kids these days!
I believe these recruits use these visits as vacations and time to get away from school especially the ones who already committed and take other visits, I guess I wouldn't blame them if that was the case

Amir Watts coming to town this weekend-Would be a HUGE get for the staff-I believe the kid could play as a true frosh with the need for DT next year

With 2 Weeks left here are the guys who have had OV or ones coming over the next 2 weekends.

Hamlin-Had a pretty good OSU visit & PSU is up next. Talked to a OSU insider and they think he is headed to PITT. In the end it is all about the fax. Would be nice to see Hamlin starting next to Whitehead next year!

Hudson-So PSU pushed off his commit because looking at bigger fish. Michigan didnt push for commit because waiting on bigger fish. Then there is PITT if he wanted to come here he is our big fish. Hopefully he or his parents notice this. Khaleke you are not Option B for us-You are Option A!

K. Wallace-Get is getting alot of love lately, seems like when The Duzz & Crew offer the vultures follow. He might be VT to lose, seems to really want that offer, will be a good college WR.

Salomon-Late decommit from USF-From Miami coming for a midweek visit, nice size at 6'3. Would be a great addition with Flowers & Winfree. Our WR core would improve significantly.

Watts-Starting to put him up there with Hamlin & Hudson. He was moved up to a 4-star ranking. He is the only official visitor this weekend, expect for Duzz & Crew to put out the red carpet for him. Think this kid has a good shot of playing next year if not starting. Great size and gets off the ball well.

Reynolds-Picking between us & Illinois this weekend. Think we land him, adding another player to the LB corp that badly needs better players to work in the Duzz's system, would be a good get with Pugh & Pine + Brightwell & McKee last year.

Alexander-Really hope we land this kid, since we missed on DE last year. I know we got Hendrix coming in & potentially Price again, would be nice to stockpile some players at DE for the future

Hampton-Think he might be a fall back option if Hamlin &/Or Miller dont sign with PITT.

Hill-Same as Hampton believe would be a fallback option.

Henry Miller-Was told from the same OSU insider-There is 10 guys ahead of Miller they are waiting on commits from, his offer would not be commitable, hopefully the kid doesnt put himself in a situation where he regrets visiting and losing his spot at PITT.

Less than 2 Weeks we start talking about 2017 & Look out Coach Duzz & Crew are going BIG TIME with this class!

Hail To PITT

No matter how it shakes out, the fact that kids the staff is targeting are also being targeted by other big programs is a good thing. They're not afraid to go in and work hard against the "big boys". Also seeing a lot of work being done on next years class already. I honestly can't recall any Pitt coaching staff being this aggressive in a long time.

ty -- appreciate the info in your posts.

Henry Miller would be big for Pitt - elite looking speed. The kind of weapon we need more of.

Sure is "neat" to see Coach Duzz and the staff being such persistent recruiters for our Pitt Panthers...

Go Pitt.

Less than 2 Weeks we start talking about 2017 & Look out Coach Duzz & Crew are going BIG TIME with this class!

Hail To PITT
Good Stuff - I do think Alexander is overrated. He is undersized for DE, and question if he can play LB.

K. Camp The USC commit is on campus with Amir Watts-The Duzz & Crew working their magic-If they got both-WOW-Biggest Position of Need for Next Year-Both could play & Potentially start if as good as advertised!

OSU offered K. Camp today, they really want a 2nd DT in their class and missed on a kid who just committed to Auburn

Welcome Amir Watts-HUGE get for the staff-Love to see them land Camp as well-DT is a HUGE position next year for the team to be successful.

Would be great to see Mr. Hamlin next to Mr. Whitehead next year

Was thinking of this if Hudson does visit, does the staff offer him as an RB? Would he rather be an RB in college or Defense? Something to consider if he does visit.

Salomon would be awesome to add along with Winfree & Flowers-We need BIG play making WR to go along with the others we current have on the roster.

K. Wallace picking up alot of steam at the end of the year, with a Clemson offer, if we take him you wonder if a few WR on the roster will move along?

Was thinking if Miller goes to Miami then Ffrench will move to DB, was wondering if he is following the PSU coaches to just mess with them after their 412 crap this weekend.

Getting closer to National Signing Day, kind of nice having this excitement with the staff, hoping for BIG things in 2016.

Watts was a good get. Narduzzi is still trying to close camp. Getting both would be awesome. Narduzzi in Florida now, seeing Camp and miller.

Speaking of miller, Narduzzi going to see him, he's a priority regardless what some on this board thought. The fact is this kid has some nice offers. Hope he turns down a conference foe in Miami and sticks with us.

Getting Solomon or Wallace would be big. Wallace really blew up late. With about 15 WRs on the roster no doubt some will be moving on. Playing time is there for Winfree and one of Solomon or Wallace

With Ffrench, I see no chance of him going to PSU.
