Football thoughts or lack thereof...

I was trying to think of something about the football team to post - not easy at this time of year (although I'm still smilin' like a butcher's dog over the class that Coach Duzz brought in...).

Came up with this one:

---With the incoming class, our Special Team's Coach Andre Powell should have a nice group of players to consider for the different units. For kick coverage teams, for example, we seem to have added several speedy players. Guys like George Hill, Henry Miller, and Kaezon Pugh come to mind for outside gunners. I also like how physical Aaron Mathews and Zack Gilbert play -- as a possible coverage guy.

---For kick returns, George Hill would again be a possible weapon, or perhaps Maurice Chevalier Ffrench.

---And this reminds me of a pet peeve I have about special teams. Why aren't the guys who play on special teams acknowledged more? Why do we list the 2-deep for offense and defense, but not for the various special team units? I think Pitt should start listing these players. Kids love any form of recognition - give them recognition for earning a spot on special teams and doing an important job.

Yes. Tipton did return kickoffs and punts in highschool.
