Back when Pitt made it to the BE Finals, 7 times in 8 years, won 2 BETs, and had a minimum 3 games in that tournament every time! During that stretch, I religiously watched the BET and hung on every game, way more than the NCAAs, those to me where really the golden days of this program. Say what you will, say conference tournaments don't mean anything, to me that was entertainment, better than any NCAA run that Pitt has ever had. The NCAAs where never as satisfying as those tournaments at that time. And of course they might of been had we won something bigger, just to me winning the BET those two times and making all those finals was more meaningful and fun than going to the sweet Sixteen and being among the Top 15 losers, or the Elite 8 and being among the Top 7 losers. LOL.
