Since taking over in 2014, Franklin has yet to win more than seven games, and has not won a single game–in six attempts–against a ranked opponent. This has kept the Nittany Lions out of the Big Ten picture.

Good Find, What I was told Mid-Season last year, I'll have a tad more after Signing Day some New Outside Developments at Penn State that can have a great impact on Football Program! Nothing earth Shaking but enough cracks and shake ups that makes ground less solid for Franklin to stand upon.

I think it would be like a Paul Chryst faithful here at Pitt... sure we liked him because he was our coach... but faithfully like him? Like if Urban Meyer or Nick Saban said "gee I would love to coach Pitt" kinda faithful? Not a chance.

Good. He is an awful coach. Keep him around. Every year that goes by and people realize he can't coach on game day will make things worse for him.

I can't see how anyone with a brain in their head who understands football would have a good feeling right now if Franklin was the coach of their favorite team. A lot of talk. Very little to show right now.

I agree!! Horrible home schedule. 5 in a row to average teams. I know what all of these reports say. Need to give him chance with his guys. If they don't win then yes he needs to go. I think he goes after this year if he wins 4 or less. Otherwise he will be around. Look at the runs the dude from MSU had. He had time to turn it around. Only fair

No i wasn't. Actually only posted 1 other time. I am pretty realistic. I know the players we had. I wasn't confident with any game. Offensive line was offensive. Need to block. Didn't know what you would get from week to week. They were young in areas. Too many mistakes to overcome. Pretty excited for next year. Will surprise teams.

If they want to extend his contract that is fine. Doesn't mean much. If they want to fire him they will. I think he will have an extra year or 2 to get his players in place. If he can't coach it will show. I only expected 6 wins this past year. So i was encouraged to a point. Cut down on mistakes in Northwestern Game and that would have been victory and 8 wins. I will enjoy the games the next 4 years. It should have happened a long time ago. I know the reasons why they didn't. But it will be fun going forward.

I was actually pretty impressed with McSorley in the bowl game. I don't know how others feel, but I thought if Hack was coming back PSU had no chance against Pitt this year. Personally, I'm more worried about this McSorley kid who can actually move around in the pocket. They have some weapons offensively, Hack just didn't get them ball consistently.

No more Boyd is a big loss for Pitt, but after a year of seasoning I think Peterman will be even better. If some wide receivers break out I think Pitt can be very good this year. I think the holes in our defense will be patched up by September, so the passing game is the only question mark IMO. We should have the upper hand if we can find a receiver or two to make plays.

Mcsorely did well. The other 2 guys are similar. They can move around. I loved that Hack stayed with commitment back in the day. But it was time to go. Sad that donavan couldn't incorporate an offense that would have been productive with hack. I thought James should have changed coordinator last year. I am looking forward to this year.
