For those waiting to hear from Heather

I wonder if Pitt then makes his job harder though so as to not allow him to win, which might cause a year 6. Like, if you’re Heather, literally say nothing. Or be critical. Almost a vote of no confidence. Capel won’t get players, and then you can him next Spring. Because if you make even the normal platitudes, what if Capel gets players and wins like 16-17 games, improves. He gets a year 6?

So, if you’re Heather. Do nothing. Let him fail. Set up Miller for 23-24. Start the whisper campaign early. What’s the difference.

No, if you're Heather you do what you can to help him in 22-23 because you're ass is on the line too. Now, if he asks to have his office remodeled or to hire an extra video assistant, you turn that down but if he needs something thats going to help him win, you do it. If you're Heather, you're still praying like heck he makes the NCAAT because if he does, maybe he actually IS the guy and if he doesn't you can still fire him with a cheap buyout. Beyond that, lets say he wins the NIT, maybe an A10 or American Athletic Conference school will take him off your hands for free.

Some posters like to separate Dixon's coaching years between his successful years and the final 3 years, when he only won around 20 games instead of 25+. It's all Dixon years which we'd trade in a minute for what we have now.
Final 5 years

Dixon I - Glory Days Dixon
Dixon II - Bubble Dixon

As I have said, they are in negotiations with Capel on numbers. I am sure Pitt would love to let Capel go but there is a point where it doesn't make financial sense. Capel has a ton of leverage. If he agrees to somewhere between $7 million-$9 million, I think Pitt makes the move. But if he wont take less than 11, 12, 13, well he'll get one more year.

Heather will do the interview after the negotiations are done and if Capel is coming back, I am sure she will give him glowing remarks, which mean nothing, and Gary will lose his mind but she will have to say it.

As you've said... You've taken just about every position possible on Jeff Chapel's future. Just stop.

I don't think there's any need to wonder, the no comment statement speaks volumes. He's in trouble, it's not if she fires him, but when and how much it's going to cost.

You'd think if Jeff and staff were safe there wouldn't be a delay. I don't think she has a choice. At minimum, she tells him he needs to hire a new staff because this one isn't returning.
