Dunn will likely not see the court again this year. What's our starting lineup next game? Back to Ish, Jaland, Zack, G, and Cam? More minutes from Beebah and Jorge?

That is too bad for Dunn, he has been injury plagued this year. With that said, it seemed like the team actually played better in the stretch that he was injured earlier this year. Maybe finding the right combinations will be easier with him out.Dunn will likely not see the court again this year. What's our starting lineup next game? Back to Ish, Jaland, Zack, G, and Cam? I can not quite figure out why but the team has seemed off since he came back. He’s a good player but maybe (like what has been said is true that) the three guards are just too much alike. That is too bad for Dunn, he has been injury plagued this year. Disagree if you want but the cohesiveness of this team went south when Dunn came back. Not trying to pick on Dunn but that's how I see it.Dunn will likely not see the court again this year. They'd have fallen off without him too. Capel teams sans excellent leadership tend to fade. Not having Dunn is bad.I can not quite figure out why but the team has seemed off since he came back. I even thought the team looked immediately better after he left the game for good last night. Isn’t that when they clawed back into the game after being down like 11?
So there must be something it.
I think the biggest lack if cohesiveness of this team is that there is no leader among the starters and/or limited bench that Capel uses. More game film (that teams we haven't played yet, get to see) clearly shows the way to defend our guards, and man-handle our bigs. This wasn't as aware to Pitt's opponents in the OOC schedule, but it is nowDisagree if you want but the cohesiveness of this team went south when Dunn came back. Not trying to pick on Dunn but that's how I see it.
Dunn looked the part of a seasoned veteran early in the basketball year. The injury @ Greenbriar affected him like we fans might never know. Hard to speculate that if he survived that fall vs Wisconsin what his game might have contributed, in ACC play. Given that no one is or was the team's savior/leader (well, maybe Jaland for a stretch) it's hard to rule out Dunn. He was the closest Pitt had to a Hinson-like player; chippy, confident, wanted the ball, etcDunn was wildly inconsistent and impact was overrated when he returned. Maybe never fully healed. Feel bad for him, but wasn’t the teams savior or leader.
Burton was a leader. It's all about leadership, or lack there of. Hinson was a superb leader for the guys last year. There is nobody who has taken on that role. There is a huge need for an alpha dog on this team, but Noone has the experience or special abilities to assume that role. Capel needs a leader, someone to default to when times are tough like this. Unfortunately for him and the team, there is Noone there.
