I was just with a Big PSU Graduate known for his career in Gang Violence Investigations with the Feds very smart, plays no games, says what he means, and fears no one at all, just a plain talker with great contacts at Penn State. Asked him about JF and came out and said this is not a Player's Coach this guy is just about himself. He pointed out how he misused Hackenberg last year and Hack was limping often and it looked to him he wanted Hack to get hurt. He went on to say he would love to have Narduzzi at Penn State, and added he think Coach Pat will stay at Pitt unlike other coaches. Looks like many Analysts are starting to see the "Franklin's Waiting Game" is waning and 'Old Main" was smart not give out an Extension?

Today's Penn State football news headlines feature more coaching carousel talk for James Franklin and insights on the Lions from ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit.
Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated put Franklin near the top of his list of coaching jobs that could turn over at some point in 2016. He cited Franklin's 0-6 record against the power schools of the Big Ten East division and concluded that Franklin simply "hasn't been a good fit" through two-plus seasons.
Thamel wrote:
James Franklin just hasn't been a good fit at Penn State. But would the school really pay more than $13 million to fire him? That's difficult to imagine, especially since he took over a roster still ailing from the NCAA sanctions and inevitable lackluster recruiting following the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Still, Penn State officials can't be thrilled about the Nittany Lions' status as the definitive fourth-string team in the Big Ten East. Penn State lost to Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State by a combined score of 121–42 last year, and Franklin is 0–6 against those schools. ... The Nittany Lions play at Pittsburgh, host Temple and travel to Michigan during September. If they don't show a spark and better game management, things could get dicey in State College.
Mark Wogenrich of the Allentown Morning call had the latest from Herbstreit from a conference call with reporters.
"It was almost as if these last couple years with [Christian Hackenberg], it just seemed to be -— it just didn't fit with what James Franklin was trying to do, after what Bill O'Brien had done," Herbstreit said, according to the Morning Call. "It just kind of seemed to be out of rhythm or out of sorts offensively."
