Normally being an old dude I share the scorn some are showing here for the guy acting out. But in this case, the depth chart at that position isn't particularly overwhelming. Not exactly a Shady or Conner at the top of it. So I can see his frustration from that standpoint ... because I share it. We really need a game breaking capable back IMO... and the top guys aren't it. He might not be, either, but I'd have liked to see if it was possible.

Maybe I’m alone in my belief that Ollison can really shine. But I believe he can. Busting a 60 yarder every game? No. But moving the sticks - yes.
lets hope there is not an issue here because this kid was a four star and is talented and since no one knows how long Sibley is gonna be out for we will be down to just three other scollie running backs and two are seniors alonf with soph AJDavis. The frosh from DC is needed not only for this year but next year as well. I believe we only have one rb verbal for 2019 class so far so he is needed and with the new redshirt rule he will get playing time this year as well as his soph year.

I don't think his name was mentioned once by narduzzi, Watson or any of the staff during summer camp.. Well outside of being victim to the freshman wall of course. I think it's safe to say he didn't turn any heads in camp and is pretty far down the depth chart.
Lets hope he gets a redshirt and can be a player next year.. the opportunity will be there.
It is a big transition. Archie Griffins and Tony Dorsetts don't come busting out of the gate right away every day. At my other alma mater, I remember a guy named Paul Palmer spending much of his freshman year buried on the depth chart. Well, once they threw him in there, the rest is history.
Yeah. Just a personal bummer because even in these pass happy times my personal philosophy is still that a outstanding team (one not totally running a full time spread anyway) needs a dynamic threat at tailback. Someone the opposing D has to game plan first and foremost for.
The guys we have due to get the PT are ... all I can think of is an analogy is Shel Gordon. Look up the Shel Gordon exchange from "...When Harry Met Sally". So insignificant a scene, there's no You Tube snippet of it apparently, but it fits this situation perfectly.

Ollison has been the best back on the team for a few years now. Narduzzi is in love with his hometown boy Hall.
I want to see what Davis can do this year. I’d hate to see his first 2 years wasted with minimal carries. I hope he gets 5-10 touches a game.

At worst we told him the talent ceiling of the group isn’t elite, and if you have the ability, the chance is there for a lot of playing time.
Which was/is probably true. If he didn’t take advantage of that, that’s on him. But the staff can’t just hand it to him.

Hope he's patient. Teams often use multiple RBs throughout the season with injuries, etc, and with the 4 game redshirt rule now, he'll likely get his chance.
Seems like a lot of conclusion-jumping here over a ‘deleted’ tweet.

There’s a guy I follow that’s always ginning up drama and complaining about lies. Gets really embarrassing.
Narduzzi has mentioned him. He recently said something the effect that he does things that none of the other backs can do.

I actually remember when he signed there was an interview or article I read about him being interested in playing defense too and I think that may have played a part in him choosing Pitt. I haven't heard anything about him on defense so that may be what he is referring to. I'm no insider and who knows what is said behind closed doors but since all of this is educated guessing I figured I would throw this theory out there.

How do you know he made this tweet? Are you a follower of his twitter? No offense, but I'm a little skeptical of someone reporting on a tweet that none of us can verify, because it was deleted right after he made it. Is there someone else besides you that can verify the tweet ever existed? If not, I take reports like this with a grain of salt...

He is a very talented running back. My speculation is that him not being on the depth chart currently has to do with being shaky on understanding his assignments in the backfield when he does not get the rock.
We were on the same page... seemed very troll-like, so I looked closer.... The tweet isn't deleted; it's still posted... and it was about 2 weeks ago; long before the first depth chart was released. It was a vague self-motivating tweet not specifying that it was actually anyone at Pitt lying to him. Subsequent tweets seem to imply he is motivated and so I again say the tweet caused a whole lot of unnecessary conclusion-jumping here...

With respect to full disclosure, I don't read anything on Twitter, unless there's a link on this site, but a lot of what I read comes across to me as passive aggressive.
This is one of those instances. I have to assume that he's referring to one or more on the coaching staff, and if that assumption is correct, was this tweet intended for someone else to forward it to them to alert them of a problem, as least a perceived problem?

Ditto. If it weren't for other mediums passing along snippets of tweets, or Facebook posts etc. from anyone ... college players, pro players, the president, or vapid celebs for that matter... I'd really know nothing about em, as I never got actual accounts to access those apps. This board (and a Linked In account I haven't updated in years) are the closest I come to being a social media user! Whether that's good, bad, sad or whatever.
It's my guess he has not been very good on his blocking assignments when protecting the QB. Narduzzi and Watson can't afford to get Pickett killed because a RB is unable to pick up the blitzers rushing the QB. You ain't going to play until you convince the coaches can trust you on that task.
My apologies... It looks as if the tweet is indeed legit... Sorry, but I'm always skeptical when posters claim to see tweets and then can't be verified. We had a couple of those in the past...H2P
