OK...I can't bite my tongue any more. I head out to grab a cup of coffee for lunch, and the first thread I open is the tweet from the Quippa coach. (posted this there too, but figured it'd get buried).
I've got three things:
1 It appears to me that one of the two issues that appears to have people feeling Narduzzi did something wrong, is the fact of his tweet that the class was full before Devonshire announced. Think about that for one second. Narduzzi tweeted about PITT's CLASS BEING DONE, which IT WAS. Why the consternation??? Forget Devonshire...make the kid announcing at 9:00 faceless. If Narduzzi knows that kid is NOT coming to Pitt, and all others have already faxed in their LOI and PITT's class is COMPLETE, tweet out your signing class. Why does PITT's COACH have to "wait" for someone else to make their announcement? It's absolutely mind-boggling to think this is an issue. I'm not sure whose worse...the idiot Quip coach or the idiots on this board that think Narduzzi did something wrong.
2 It appears the second of the two issues is Narduzzi's comment at his presser about kid's wanting to play here or they don't. Again...if it's a TRUE statement, what's the issue? He was ASKED A QUESTION (twice actually), and the SECOND time he elaborated and put his thoughts out there. WHAT is WRONG with this? I thought it was great, and it's 1000% true. Don't give me crap about HS coaches feeling being hurt. Again, that is a mind numbing thought and weak argument. In fact...what have these HS coaches done for PITT recently? Everyone on here whines when the top recruits don't pay Pitt the time of day, yet when PITT's COACH who has PITT's BACK states his opinion on what everyone on here complains about all the time (top kids not paying Pitt the time of day), you whine about that too. It's unbelievable that it's even an issue, because it's a NON-ISSUE, period.
3 I'm tired of "insiders" (who I do believe are on here and in the know), talk about they know of the issues within the WPIAL w Pitt and the HS Coaches, yet won't mention any specifics. Like what they know is "top trade secret" that will hurt national security. It's amazing the secrecy of the insiders on this board. They "know" for a fact why so-and-so didn't come to Pitt or they "know" for a fact why the HS coaches are against Pitt or they "know" for a fact why the well has been poisoned locally with respect to Pitt, but NEVER provide any SPECIFICS on what they know. That might be more frustrating than anything on this board, and believe me, there are A LOT of frustrating things on this board. TELL US WHAT THE HELL YOU KNOW, or don't say a damn thing.
I've said before I didn't even go to Pitt, just been a fan my whole life. A LOT of you graduated from the damn school, yet when THE COACH OF PITT stands up for PITT, instead of taking pride in that, you get all pissed off and think he should just roll over and let your school continue to get disrespected. I really don't get it. I really don't. Some of you need to quit damn worrying about what the *uck outsiders think of Pitt, and worry and Pitt and taking care of its own. It seems to me Pitt finally has a coach doing just that, and he gets shit for it. Mind-numbing.
