On 3rd downs putting QB under center letting D know it will be a run up the middle.
"Student athlete" taking 2 unsportsmanlike calls on the same play after a turnover giving PITT poor field position.
REf with bad spot that would have ended the game.
Poor punt again giving Wake good field position.
Bad pass defense on Wakes final drive.

I believe I saw that we handed it off five times on 3rd and short and were 0 for 5. Didn't we also get stuffed on a 4th?

And these "short yardage situations" were sometimes 3 yards. Why did we keep running into a brick wall? Because Narduzzi thought we would easily coast to a 10-7 win. The people who are just looking at the run/pass distribution chart are idiots. We played to not lose against a team that was begging us to play that way. They knew they were undermanned and just needed a shot at the end. They got it.

It’s a classic case of playing not to lose. PN figured they couldn’t drive the length of the field on them, so didn’t want to take any chances. So everything was conservative. In doing so, it kept it a once score game.

Yes. And they had their third string QB in. And they are mainly devoid of top end talent. But they are better coaches than Pitt and better at playing football than Pitt. Still not good, but better than Pitt. And they scored more points than Pitt. Pitt is a very bad football team. They might be great in shorts and in practice, but they are not good at the actual game of football.

Loved this….hilarious…nice job. Yea, I believe that the Duzz and his OC had a chat about the offensive game plan and it was agreed that Pitt could outmuscle WF in a boring snooze fest. Off tackle, baby, that’s the play!

You seriously think Wake is poorly coached?

Pitt is playing with their backup QB in his second start. Pitt is also entirely devoid of high end talent.

Have you seen Griffis play? Marruci isn't much of a drop off, and probably doesn't make as many boneheaded plays as Griffis.
