How was that not a foul on Cooney? Also, Mike young got very lazy there end of half. I realize those are deep looks by Lydon, but young was late closing out on the first 3, got lost in the hedge on the second.

The worst part is that ball had absolutely no chance at all of getting through there. Unless the Syracuse defender magically disappeared as the ball got close to him.
I'm with you on that. Except that last three was from even further than 25 feet.
The last one might have been longer than that.
Cuse scored 20 points in he first 9:30 minutes. 8 points in the last 10:30, including that 25+ bomb. That's getting the job done.
Hardly anyone for the Cuse has scored since Lydon (sp?) came into the game, except HIM, but he has scored 13 himself!
The effort is certainly clear on the glass. We need to keep it going.
Good first half coming back from that early 10 - 2 deficit. Great job by JRob. This team is well coached on offense and seems to be patient to get good shoot, but they are horribly coached on defense. Almost every point Syracuse scored was off a Pitt mistake on the hedge on the high ball screen. Mike and Sheldon have no clue on when and how to defense the high ball screen. What was Mike doing 30 to 35 feet from the basket at the end of the half leaving his man wide open for a three.
I so loved that play by JRob. It was so fundamentally sound. Get inside the top of the 2-3 zone, stop at the foul line, high bank shot. Not sexy, not highlight reel......just old school and effective.
Jeter is an adventure on the defensive end of the court. Two straight trips.
