Pitt down 6 after a bad start to the 2nd half mostly with Fede tripping over himself out there and Guillermo checks in and probably goes on the best 4-6 minute offensive run of his career. That pick and pop 3 that he hit to get the turnaround started was the shot of the game by far and turned the offense around.

Looks like he has earned the start at Miami though you’d almost rather Fede play the Toree Morris role by taking the opening tip and then playing sparingly with GDG off the bench providing his spark.

GDG is way more skilled than Fede, Fede can't do much on offense besides finishing an alley oop pass with a slam-dunk, if he needs to dribble twice or think for 2 seconds it's over, but when he times his move to the rim just right, he's awesome, GDG is weak and gets knocked over a lot but he can dribble, drive and shoot from the outside good enough to make something happen.

It doesn’t really matter who starts and it is more about matchups any way.

Fede needs to give us at least 20 minutes to offset some things Omier can do.

Omier is currently injured.

Could return tomorrow but his diagnosis a few days back was a few weeks before returning. Bad ankle and missed last game.

Either way he wont be 100% for the Pitt game.

Yes, I know. Like you said, he may already play tomorrow, so I expect him to play against us. And even at 50%, he will be tough for our guys to contain.

He only had 33 points tonight. We need Fede to play strong and move his feet. It's going to be a huge challenge. He is going to be left alone inside quite a bit, because we can't afford to help off shooters. They have many guys that can light it up from 3. This is a game where we could shoot well and still lose if our defense is poor.

Much more concerned with the 3 ball. If we can hold Omier to his 18 point average, somewhat inefficiently, then I'll take that as long as we defend the 3. This means NO HELPING off shooters. I'd rather Omier 2 us to death than leave open shooters. Obviously you cant have him go 12-14 like tonight but play him tough, no help, and guard the 3. They are 11th in the nation in 3 point percentage
