Holding Dungy to 58 pass yards in a half is a major score. Really, he couldn’t have had more than 15 after the opening drive.
With our meager offense you really do have to give Pitt credit so far we are still in it against a team that should be in the top 25

Syracuse a 7 or 8 win team with a weak schedule, I guess that is decent for them though.
I can name 10 qb’s better than Dungey off the top of my head. Not even his mother thinks he’s one of the best QB’s in the country.

I will agree they are improved from what they’ve been. Definitely a bowl team, could possibly win 8 games depending on how the season plays out.
The Dungey talk is silly though, he is a pretty good college QB, but nowhere close to being one of the top quarterbacks in the country by any stretch. Top 20 maybe, but even that is a reach.

Second best so he’s better than McSorely? Doubt that and no I am not a troll before you accuse me of that but I take Trace over him any day. Dungy had a terrible day passing and I give Pitt a ton of credit as there were no receivers running free today. Other than his long TD run Pitt did a good job containing him
Damn I somehow missed that. I’m one that thinks McSorely is a little overrated, but he is certainly better than Dungey. That’s not even up for debate.

Not one coach in the country would take Dungey over McSorely, including Dino Babers.
Dungey is a nice QB, not sure why you can’t just leave it at that. I mean go over the roster of some of these teams and you will find at least 20 better college quarterbacks than Dungey.

Both are good QBs, you cannot possibly think Dungey wouldnt be even better with PSUs team around him. I mean, get serious, Dungeys speed size and arm trump McSorelys
Obviously we will never agree on this, I just don’t get the Dungey love. Guy is always hurt, his teams don’t win, and his accuracy is questionable at times.
There are just so many college QB’s out there better than him. I mean just look at the 3 “local” teams we all complain about getting coverage in the Pgh area. He is a distant 4th behind Grier, Haskins, and McSorely.
McSorely and company won 51-6 and Dungy lost so that’s the only stat that matters. Your stats right there prove nothing they basically are the same. You can twist stats to mean anything you want all I know is like others here if we are picking teams and I can chose Dungy or McSorely I take McSorely every time.

I mean Syracuse’s defense and our punter not dropping every ball is all because of Mcsoreley not his 8-22 completion rate through 3 quarters. He is clearly better than Dungey just cause the media says so!
It isn’t twisting stays, it’s actually what happened. Pitt ups was 7-6 at half time. McSoreley did not play well, or you can say Narduzzi’s defense has grown so much that both qbs looked awful vs us, but I’m guessing that wouldn’t be your narrative either
I don’t have any narrative. I just know without a shadow of a doubt 100 out 100 coaches would take McSorely over Dungy. And it’s not even close.
