I read many times on this board over the past two years that Peterman was at best a mediocre QB. So Gruden must be wrong. The other possibility is that the posters on this board were wrong...and that can't be.
I freely admit I liked Voytik's Running Ability better at first, but Chaney & Narduzzi saw that Nate would be Great and being corrected in a Blessing to change and become better and smarter, instead of staying stubborn and stupid in fear of being wrong. Never fear in being wrong once corrections can make you smarter.

Also, Chad quit on Pitt and could have been the Hero Pitt needed in the Northwestern Bowl Game when Nate got knocked out and would have gain valuable experience under Canada too.

I think Chad is still on the Arkansas State roster but not the QB Depth Chart as he was beat out by a CC Transfer Sophomore. It would have been interesting if Chad was still here with his 6th year of eligibility.

Pitt Bostick seldom played little at Pitt but never quit on Pitt, has Blue & Gold Blood and is example of being a Great Pitt Alumnus, Analysts and Fan today. Flacco saw that Palko was going to be hard to beat out and took off for Delaware and made it great in the NFL. I am happy Palko was at the Spring game, and hope he becomes a Pitt Coach someday. I love Coaches that had Father's as Coaches like Narduzzi and Palko has that fire in their bellies since 5 years old watching football films. Price never quit on Pitt and is an NFL Draft Pick this year too.

Up to Big Max, Big Ben D, Big Mac Attack, and The Picket Fence Run & Gun to make Pitt Great in 2017 and Beyond.

List of All Episodes: Jon Gruden’s QB Camp with Nathan Peterman
http://espnmediazone.com/us/nathan-peterman/

PITTSBURGH—After former Pitt quarterback and NFL Draft hopeful Nathan Peterman met with Super Bowl-winning coach, quarterback guru and current ESPN analyst Jon Gruden a few weeks ago in Orlando, fans will soon have the chance to see behind the scenes of Peterman’s session with Gruden.

Episodes of SportsCenter Special: Jon Gurden’s QB Camp with Nathan Peterman will debut on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m. with the 30-minute program’s initial airing on ESPN2. The feature will air a total of 29 times before and after next week’s three-day NFL Draft in Philadelphia, which begins with the first round on Thursday and continues with Friday’s second and third rounds before concluding on Saturday.

For a full listing of when and where Peterman’s episodes with Gruden will appear, see the link above. Since his lengthy meeting with Peterman for the show, Coach Gruden has expressed how impressed he was with quarterback who last season led the highest-scoring offense in Pitt Football history. In a conference call on Wednesday, Gruden even went as far as to say that if he were a head coach in the NFL looking to draft a quarterback that could start right away, he’d look no further than Peterman.

“I like the kid at Pitt, honestly,” Gruden said. “He’d allow us to do just about anything in the gameplan. I think he throws the ball pretty darn good, he’s athletic and very sharp. I’d probably go with Peterman, if I had to play him in a few months. I’m smitten with him a little bit as a player.”

Peterman, who is looking to join Tom Savage (2014), Dan Marino (1983) and Matt Cavanuagh (1978) as Pitt QBs selected in the first seven rounds of the NFL Draft, was one of six Panthers who participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis in March, giving Pitt the possibility of having its biggest draft class in many years.

The Panthers last had five NFL Draft selections in 2011, but Pitt has not had six players picked since 2004.

Got to give Chaney credit, he knew Nate was a special QB when he was riding the bench at Tennessee. Replacing Voytik was mildly unpopular at the time but he knew what Peterman was capable of. Canada rightly gets a ton of credit for last year but none of it happens unless Chaney brings Nate.

Unfortunately some people are always looking for the negative. Human rain clouds.

Early last season, Canada really seemed to be restricting Peterman's play calling to allow him to stretch the field and many fans assumed that it was some limitation of Peterman's. Of course, early last season there were almost no go-to receiving options.

Good point and one has to wonder if it had to do with recruiting Chad from Tennessee when Chaney was OC/QB & Interim Coach, Franklin wanted Chad too at Vanderbilt? Both Nate & Chad were 4 Star Recruits in 2012 back then. But glad Jim & Nate and Hendrix came to Pitt and clearly proof they made the right choice and Narduzzi approved it.

Nothing rebuilds a Football Program without Hiring the Right People that are positive on Pitt, want to be at Pitt, stay at Pitt, and overcome the negatives and stay away from Mister In-Betweens around Pitt!

Seems like a great kid. Gotta root for any kid that says "yes sir" especially in this day and age. Someone taught him well

First, I love the Gruden QB camp series. Say what you want about Chuckie, but the man knows his football. Peterman was really impressive during the show. What really strikes me just how smart these guys have to be to play QB at a high level. Play calling, checks, and of course making the throws are all critical. It's easy to sit on the sidelines and criticize the QB, but unless you know all of the complexity of playing the position, it's mostly misplaced criticism.

I'd love to see the Steelers pick up Nate. He can learn under Rothlisberger for a few years and be ready to take over when Ben hangs em up.

The Stillers wouldn't know what to do with an intelligent QB...
