I told my fiancé tonight I haven’t felt like this since the Wednesday before the Pitt/Penn State game in 2016. She laughed because she noticed how quiet, abnormal, around the house I was tonight. The bottled energy I’ll have by Saturday will pour out of my veins and body at 3:30pm. I had to have my assistant cancel out my Friday afternoon. I’ll be useless. Going over to a dear friend‘s house Saturday at noon for a cigar and some football. At Heinz by 2:45pm. Down to the field and hug my kid then up to the seats. Look at my clock every 5 minutes til game time. Kickoff at the top of my lungs(strangely I’m 58 and just don’t care) and participate for 60 minutes like I’m on the field playing. This I know for a fact.
What I don’t know.......Gut feeling...
This team will be ready to play. This team will be reaching and grabbing for their version of destiny. This team will fight for every inch. This team will accept and challenge adversity. This team will not quit. And wether it is comfortable, battling from behind or hanging on this team will finish.
Just like Penn State in 2016 I believe this will be.
I‘m not to proud to say after the Penn State game I almost got arrested jumping on the field to hug Adam Biz. The funny thing was Adam engulfed both of us and then started hugging him as well haha. The security guy escorted me arm and arm back to the steps. I walked out of that stadium holding tears back. Admittedly I let a few loose in the car.
My gut feeling......Pitt beats Clemson.
