Hallelujah— PJ Benched.

This is a great point. Firing Cignetti isn’t enough. They need to be prepared now to have a new guy immediately to hire upon dismissing Cignetti at seasons end. None of this 7 months of casual interviews (like Christ with Matt House) so that Duz can wear down Lyke to just let him hire another hack just like Cig and Watson. And like you said, having someone to hire immediately improves the chance (however slim at this moment) of getting a good /compatible transfer Qb (and receivers).

This program needs to be managed actively like the professional sports franchise it is.

The problem is that assistant coaching contracts go to signing day so you cant hire another college coach until after LOI day

F that. You just NEGOTIATE starting now, you ARRANGE the deal in advance, you INFORM transfer candidates … you just don’t actually have him SIGN it until whatever date in the meaningless nonsensical rule the patsy NCAA passes to try to justify its existence.

Much like the open tampering and pay for play USC did with Addison, cheating has never been more easy, and more imperative to do, than ever. Turns out Professor Barbet at Grand Lakes University was wrong; Bribes, kickbacks, and mafia payoffs ARE part of the legitimate business world…the COLLEGE FOOTBALL (and basketball, and probably baseball, but who cares) business anyway. (He also never got laid by the old blond prof).

But we all know Pitt admin will follow these retarded rules 150%, because it doesn’t care about winning and wouldn’t want its volleyball team somehow inconvenienced with (cue Halloween spooky sounds) NCAA sanctions.

But even waiting a while to try to follow some worthless, weak random rule that the successful programs NEVER follow, it still can’t be allowed by Heather and Joanie to become a multi-month effort at Narduzzi’s laziness/leisure only to hire Shawn Watson back after he’s deservedly fired by Wofford.

Yea, I think CV is really bad. If he wasnt, the Cult wouldn't have let him leave and he would have been paid handsomely to hold the clipboard for Allar. But, you still have to try him. Let him lose a few then go to Yarnell. Then, you cut both of them and bring in more transfers.

I’m obviously in the minority but I think Veilleux is an above average P5 starter.
Maybe in a real offense with a real o-line and real offensive coordinator. Don't get to excited, but, it is great to see that he is getting a chance.

Coordinators are always getting permission to interview for HC positions as early as December. I think it's generally a bad look if you don't let a guy look around before his contract is up.

But really... if a guy's contract is expiring the day after LOI, he isn't wanted by that school anyway. So it's a moot point. but I'm sure sitting OC's can be picked off.

Now we get to see if the offensive line improves their play. Because if not we could easily see PJ back behind center due to quarterback injuries
