Has anyone else gained their Covid 19 pounds.

I lost 15 # because of working out every day and eating consistent meals without going out.

That is me too. Jogging most everyday, and not traveling for work and eating out. Honestly I am in the best shape Ive been in in 20 years.

That's great to hear! I fell of the workout routine for couple months and lost too much weight. Pre covid 210 and now a shade under 180, back in the saddle the last 3 weeks, the heavy bag knows i'm back !

My wife is cooking up a storm. Was a svelte 202, but recently I’ve passed 210. She has bought a few new cookbooks on amazon.....
Crazy good meals. Tonight is onion smothered pork chops with Spanish rice.....Oh Boy.
Hows it going with you guys....

Amazing that people have managed to lose weight. In late February, I decided I wanted to lose 16 pounds to get back to the weight I was when Masha and I met. Lost 6 pounds in two weeks. On alternate days, I was bowling 3 games and then walking the length of the Venice Boardwalk and back (around 10,000 steps). On the other days, I walked 10,000 steps in a route through our neighborhood.

Then, the lockdown began. Bowling alley closed. Venice Beach out. Too many people without masks walking around the neighborhood. So, I bought a treadmill. Use it every day for 30 minutes, walking while listening to Springsteen. It hasn’t been enough. Regained those 6 pounds and 5 more. :-(. Recently discovered that 30 minutes on the treadmill is less than 4,000 steps, so I am starting to increase the mph and time spent on the treadmill. Fortunately, I have more than enough Springsteen music to do that.

The one positive impact of the treadmill has been on my BP and I don’t know why. I was always on the moderately high side: 125-135/75-85. The old exercise routine didn’t change that. Now, it’s 110-100/60-70. Consistently. Also, my resting pulse rate now is 48-55. So, the treadmill has been very good for that. I just had a stress test and the medical tech couldn’t get my heart rate fast enough to complete the test until he maxed the incline on the machine.

You guys are embarrassing me. I had to go to a funeral yesterday and was a bit embarrassed how tight some of clothes and blazer fit.
