I was definitely wrong from the very beginning, thinking in no uncertain terms that Pitt would get beat badly Saturday by UCF. But Pitt played hard and UCF really had no answers until literally most of our starting defensive squad were hurt. When we trailed by 10 I admit I also thought Pitt would definitely lose. We've all seen the narrative before, too many times in fact.
But credit the coaches and the players for fighting to the end and calling a great trick play when it mattered most.
Season changing win? I sure think so. I'm now pretty darn excited to see how the season turns out. Awesome win!!
