I don't really want the mid-major flavor of the week. Pitt tried that once. Went with a Western Kentucky guy, coming off a Sweet 16. Big time recruiter. Fun style of play. Slam dunk hire...and then the Willard years. Frankly, Paul Evans at Navy wasn't altogether dissimilar.

For that reason, I don't want Keatts. I don't want Beard. I don't want to have to dip way down into the mid majors.

What do I do? I concentrate on P5 leagues and the Big East/A-10/AAC.

My next head coach is a current head coach at one of those schools.

Who have been the REAL good hires in the ACC lately. Tony Bennett...coach at Wazzou. Buzz Williams, coach at VT. Larranegga, coach at George Mason (A-10 at the time I think). Established guys. Instant credibility.

Bottom line, I look around the P5 leagues. Who isn't happy? Who has taken their program as far as it can go and wants a new challenge?

Maybe someone like Andy Enfield, Mick Cronin, Ed Cooley. People keep mentioning Krystowiak.

I like these names a lot more than hot mid major.
