I agree with the above statements Butch has all of the elements of being a sleaze just hasn't been completely caught. The AD had zero say in the hire he's the same AD that fired Mario from FIU and hired Isaiah Thomas to be basketball coach.

North Carolina wasn't much til he got there. The defense was pretty good during his tenure. Compliance problems aside, not a bad coach. But I guess most coaches would be pretty good not playing by the rules.

I think the telling point is that this gives an idea of what happens with unc. they all must know unc will not get major sanctions because butch would get a "show cause" slapped on him if they did.

That's interesting. I remember before they hired Ron Turner a couple years ago there was rumors going around that Butch was going to take over. One site even said it was confirmed. Kinda funny how everything is coming full circle...
