Me and Penn Hills finest would never be caught dead wearing something ad childish and sloppy as a polo shirt. Nothing but long sleave dress shirts for us high profile men. For gameday we throw on our Blue and Yellow ties with vests.
Wow, have things spun outta control here. I'm going to switch things up and get this thread back on track.
Look how beautiful those things are.
I really like the shade of Gold on the Helmet(and the shade of Blue of the Script PITT) and outline on the Jersey Numbers, but not so much with the shade of brighter yellow on the pants-WTF?
I think that JPripper88 most likely attended U of Virginia, as their Students wear Jackets & Ties to the UVA Home Football Games. Of course, the UVA Dress Code for Football Games is still better than dressing like the KKK at Home Games in Crappy Valley.

Nope, but this has nothing to do with dress for games anyway, even though our coaches certainly wear that type of gear. I guess most in here who think it is crazy don't watch out games. I'd like to wear nice Pitt gear in many situations. Pitt apparently doesn't want that. Many folks grew up differently. Apparently many on here also don't watch the games and see our coaches, either.

This will go on forever, all I can say in all honesty is that you're weird, and I don't know what planet you live on. It's funny, I went to my daughter's high school soccer team "meet the coaches" night yesterday, and I had this thread in my mind, so I put on a Nautica polo thinking I should look mature as the parent, I get there and half the dad's are wearing T shirts, one guy who I know is VP of a car rental company was wearing a T shirt and baseball cap, I just laughed. We live in a good suburban neighborhood too, so it's not like it's welfare people coming to this. LOL
My post was joking, but, as I said, we can both think the other is odd and be fine. I'm from small town Pittsburgh area and I live in the South neither was/is really different from what I explained is normal for me. Other people are different. That is fine. I can live just fine in my normal, even if some think it is odd to wear a polo shirt. It won't matter to me and it won't matter for my kids.
Dude, it's not odd to wear a polo shirt! I wear them all the time, I'm wearing one now! I just think, it's odd, IMO to think that a T shirt or hoodie is immature for an adult man to wear, I think it's common and acceptable. lol
Ok and that is different for me. Just like people think it is "dorky" to wear a polo to a football game or soccer team parent meeting. To each their own.

This might sound weird and people can correct me if I am wrong, but I want to say that is exactly what we did in 97 when we beat the u. Came out in all blues and us in the student section went wild.
I also think we did that when we wore gold for the first time against lville and got destroyed but I might be wrong on that one
