Home field disadvantage???

Ha! So we went from Souf name calling, calling me goofy and saying it’s asinine, to then going silent because he was shown that it wasn’t my position but rather the position of someone who would know more than he would or I would.

Then you tell me it’s a right wing talking point, until 5 minutes later you see that it actually isn’t a talking point at all and the opinion of someone who lives in that bubble…at which point you move the goalposts and say yeah, well, don’t listen to her.

sorry that I took the lady who said it was trendy to not be hetero at her word. Don’t shoot me the messenger. You guys should be bigger men and apologize. I know you have it in you. Souf though, I won’t hold my breath. :).
No- I was eating dinner with my family
Your comment was both assinine and shows how goofy you actually are
Because you’re in your self imposed bubble .
Same one who made a stupid comment that a bunch of Nebraska guys in a bar makes it not gay

A-ha.

Complete bullsh*t. My god where do morons like you get this disinformation crap?

I mean, it was reported by MULTIPLE media outlets at the time, including the broadcasting crew that was AT THE GAME.

But yes, let’s disregard all of them because some goof on Panther Lair totally did the math, and he says it’s wrong!

For a fan base that doesn’t even own a stadium, you guys sure are sensitive over who fills it 🤷🏻‍♂️

From my personal firsthand observations over a LONG time, there are not even close to 15K hoopies - let alone the kind of numbers you’re imagining - who are willing to risk traveling to the “big city”. It’s a HUGE deterrent.

There has NEVER been anywhere near 15K hoopies at a Pitt game in Pittsburgh going back over 50 years: Pitt Stadium; 3 Rivers or Acrisure (Heinz). You are F.O.S. if you believe otherwise.

You are really a dumb s$%t, aren't you. Now I know why you're a hoopie fan. You couldn't get into a community college and wvu let you in with your failing grades and total lack of common sense. There's a reason why wvu is way down the ranks of academic institutions and near or at the bottom.

I'll bet the hillbillies are pounding their chests over on the hillbilly board about this! This is truly the definition of stupid. You'd have to be stupid to say it and you'd have to be even more stupid to believe it.
Stupid is as stupid does.

LMFAO. Right.

We are amused by dumbasses that just make up bat shit crazy stuff.

75% WVU might be a bit high, but it’s not ridiculous. Pitt fans have been outnumbered by visiting fans numerous times in the past. Most recently in 2016 vs Penn State.
Correct

10,000 Pitt students
36,000 Penn State fans
24,000 regular Pitt fans

Fewer regulae Pitt fans came to see us play Penn State than the week before vs Villanova. Makes sense, right?

The way to defuse this bullshit is to call it outright bullshit.

Seriously, 75% of Acrisure stadium is 52,500. Isn't that pretty much their own stadium capacity?

Well, I'm cranky and I choose violence in just abut every situation. So yeah, I choose violence. (Yes, I am aware that this may well end up on message board idiots, but I will hunt them down and kill then too. I don't care. I'm pissed off and I don't cool off until somebody gets really hurt or dies.)

Let's line up all the WVU fans on one side of General Robinson Street and the Pitt fans on the other side. Blow a whistle and we all just brawl ad then count the people still standing after 30 minutes. I will wager heavily that Pitt wins this.

A little known fact (according to ESPN.com posted in 1863) is that General Robinson was against letting WV join the Union. He stated to President Lincoln that their greatest general was shot by his own men, and that Virginia didn't even want them anymore. Jefferson Davis himself said this about WV: "If those huckleberries leave the Confederacy our IQs will increase by 50 points and the Unions will decrease by at least that much".

So in summary, WV changed sides in the Civil War in order to win (showing their lack of resolve and loyalty), and even shot their army's QB (Stonewall) but they think they'll come up north and win. JT Daniels (who made WV jokes in his twitter a few years ago) should be very concerned. I heard that WVU calls the area between the 40 yard lines "Chancellorsville".

@Sean Miller Fan can you set this narrative straight and post your panoramic image of Heinz field for the 2016 PSU game? This is G’damn ridiculous.

For context, 75% of Heinz’ capacity is 52,500. For context, WVU’s attendance last season was just over 51,000. You’re trying to tell me that WVU will somehow have as many fans, if not more, at a road game than in Morgantown? Make it make sense!

If those losers bring more than 10K into the stadium, I'll be surprised. Most of them will be in the parking lots getting drunk with their sheep.

It never has been before. Why would it be this time?
...and that was when WVU was good.

In 2008 and 2010... they had *MAYBE* 15,000 at Heinz. And they were a good team.

Now... they are projected 9th in the 10-team B12..... and they think they'll have 45,000? LOL.

They took a VIVID ticket story, second hand tickets going 75 percent sold to WVU, makes sense for away teams looking for tickets, some dumbass took that to mean 75 percent of the total there at the game. Media lying???? No way lol

Misinformation. Vivid seats is a reseller like Stubhub. There's no way they could have sold more than 2000 tickets, maybe not more than 1000. The vast majority of people in attendance will be folks who bought tickets directly from Pitt. Now, did 750 of the 1000 tickets that Vivid sold go to West Virginia addresses? Maybe, but its insignificant. Its part of the 10K-15K they will have there.
I wanted to ask you, I live here in S WV, do you? Trust me there are Pitt fans here, but it’s more VT than anything or you just making up things in other threads? I am here not today I’m at the game but you are wrong about the numbers in WV. I would be willing to bet Charleston is 20 percent Marshall 10 percent VT and 5 percent other

WVU fans already setting up parking for today's game.

Very patriotic fans.

They'll bring about 10K - 15K like they usually do. The majority of the stadium will of course be Pitt. I don't know where they got that false stat about 75% will be hoopies, but it's wrong. But what would you expect from a delusional hoopie media type? What an idiot.
There's only 500 hoopie DNA's.

A bingo? A simple Google search will show that WVU has averaged anywhere from 56,000 to 58,000 a game. In 2019 it was 58,000 and ranked 31st in the country.
Sigh………Believe what you want to believe, In the end, it won’t matter.

Inside the stadium at this time... it is at least 80/20 Pitt.

Maybe the 50k WVU fans and their tractors are all stuck in I79 traffic.
