7/7/2017 10:24:00 AM
PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh head wrestling coach Keith Gavin announced Friday morning the upcoming home dual opponents for the 2017-18 season. In addition, Pitt also unveiled a new flex season ticket package, which is now available for purchase.

"We are really looking forward to hosting some of the best programs in the country this year," Gavin said. "The team is energized about the upcoming season and we can't wait to wrestle in front of our fans."

The home slate features non-conference match-ups with Clarion, North Dakota State, Oklahoma and South Dakota State, while also hosting ACC foes in NC State, Virginia and Virginia Tech. Four of Pitt's home opponents concluded the 2016-17 season ranked in the top 25 of the USA Today/NWCA Coaches poll with Virginia Tech leading the way at No. 4.

Dates and times for the home schedule will be announced at a later date. Read more about Pitt's home opponents here.

Season Ticket Information
New this year, Pitt will be offering a flex season ticket package for $35. Each package will include a total of seven tickets, which can be used for any match. Tickets can be used traditionally (one ticket for each match) or in any combination (two tickets for three matches, seven tickets for one match, etc.).

Benefits for Flex Season Ticketholders include:
  • Flexibility to use the tickets in any combination and get the most usage out of them
  • Access to a reserved seating area at the center of the mat, available up until 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the match
  • A set of Pitt Wrestling gifts per Flex Season Ticket Package purchased (to be picked up at a match)

Details on single-dual tickets will be announced at a later date.

I like the Oklahoma addition (makes a lot of sense), could be a regular on our schedule. SDSU also a program with a lot of heat behind it, let's go.
