How can WVU be ranked higher in recruiting rankings than Pitt? They don't have a head coach!

Why wouldn't they sign?

SEC schools get 4 & 5 star guys all the time while there's a vacancy.

Why wouldn't they? Anytime a coach leaves, basically the whole team transfers. These players have friends, girlfriends, and other ties to the school. Yet, they gone the second the coach leaves. WVU's coach leaves and these stooges all sign an LOI, even though they have no ties to the school? WVU could hire me and these brainiacs love WVU that much to be coached by me?

Because they can now enter the portal immediately, so it's not like they really even committed to anything. LOI literally means nothing at this point.

Also, they're getting paid and this was likely their highest offer. 1 out of maybe 50 kids cares more about the coach or school than the money.

West Virginia at #41. Pitt at #48.

ACC ahead of Pitt:
Miami #14
Georgia Tech #18
Florida State #25
Clemson #26
SMU #32
Duke #33
Syracuse #36
Virginia Tech #40
NC State #42
Stanford #46

Pitt’s best class in recent years was 2019. It was ranked #49th. That class had: Calijah Kancey, Sirvocea Dennis, Matt Goncalves, Brandon Hill, Brandon George, Daniel Carter, Vincent Davis, Jared Wayne, AJ Woods… Most of these guys outside of Carter, had zero or a few offers.

The best class on paper was the 2021 class (#21) and that was a disaster…Dorian Ford, Elliot Donald, Nahki Johnson, Naquan Brown. All were highly rated 4 star talents. Then there was Terrence Moore, Noah Bigalow, Jaden Bradley, and a whole lot of nothing.

Rodney Hammond was the only highly recruited player who contributed. Outside of him, the best contributors in this class was lowly rated Nate Yarnell & Gavin Bartholomew.

Those are the facts…

So let’s wait and see what happens with the class. There is a lot of speed which is DESPERATELY needed on this team, Compared to SMU and Louisville, Pitt looked…. s l o w

I'm not even joking, you could pull a staff from this board and our recruiting class wouldn't be much worse than his. It's pathetic.
Your hatred of Narduzzi makes you latch on to anything that paints him in a negative light, regardless of how incredibly stupid it is. Pitt's average star ranking is right in line with expectations. UNC doesn't have a HC either, and they are going to be right up there in the Top 4 or 5, just like they usually are. The only thing that really jumps out as somewhat alarming on this list is Clemson. For a program that doesn't work the portal and has national championship aspirations, you're never going to get there with an average star ranking of 3.53. Unless you really clean up in the portal, that number needs to be at least 3.75.

Miami 3.71
Clemson 3.53
FSU 3.5
GT 3.25
UNC 3.22
SMU 3.17
Stanford 3.11
Duke 3.07
VaTech 3.05
Pitt 3.05
UVA 3.00
Cal 3.00
Louisville 2.93
NCSU 2.95
Syracuse 2.97
WF 2.85
BC 2.74

WVU's avg star ranking is 2.9

Just curious, did you also freak the hell out over Pitt's basketball recruiting ranking which is #66 in Rivals & #76 in 247? Or do you just do that for football?

Would also add that you can pretty much take any class between 35 and 55 and it's all the same thing because it's all arbitrary.
