I was 14.

So basically, were you around and old enough to remember the national championship win over Georgia?

Was 28 and busy with a family, but I remember. Would go to Pitt Stadium just to watch TD run.

Go Pitt.

I was 28 years old and ran out on field when the game was over. At the time, we thought it would never end and it did stay good for another 4 or 5 years.

I was 11 and because of my father I became a Pitt fan 2 years earlier despite living in PSU country!

10 at the time and not a Pitt. Watched the game and rooted for Pitt. Still didn't like PSU even then.

I was 10 and was already a pretty big Pitt fan even then. Still remember the game! Jim Corbett was my favorite player (next to Dorsett) as was Jimbo Cramer because he went to TJ which was the high school of my school district.

10. I remember but not overly so. I was a Pitt fan from the get, and that was really the first year I started really following college football outside of ND and USC because of Lindsay Nelson highlights.

I was 17 and remember hanging out on the track shagging extra points. Surreal times in the burgh with Steelers and pirates winning.

You can watch the national championship game vs Georgia on Youtube. Video quality is poor,, just type in 1976 Sugar Bowl.

Was 9 years old and consider myself fortunate, as it was the first season I really followed Pitt football.

Unlike the pessimist I've become, I remember being supremely confident watching the Sugar Bowl.

I was 19 and life was great! Hot Pitt co-ed's. 25 cent draught beers at SOD. Pitt wins a National Championship. Tony Dorsett. Steelers Champions. Mean Joe. Jack Splat. Pirates World Champs. Chicken on the Hill with Will. Roberto. You wonder why us old timers are nostalgic for the good old days? Pretty simple....things were honestly better (at least from a Pittsburgh sports perspective).
