Have 2 in Section 137. Only live a couple hours away in Ohio and have usually been able to make most games. However, haven't been able to make either of this year's games due to work travel.

In general, surprised by the number of responses in this thread indicating a number of season ticket holders that end up not using their seats. It's good that we have a number of diehard fans that but the season tickets to support the program and I can definitely understand the obstacles that come up for out of towners to make it to some games. However, I guess this may partly explain the number of empty seats we frequently have at games though.

2005 - Present 4 West Clubs Sec, 238, missed Wed. night UConn game on purpose (Graham).
1988 - 2004 Moved all over the country and raised a family made approximately 10 games.
1982 -1987 Golden Panther Sec. 19, didn't miss too many!
1972 -1982 Student aka Bluto, I have no recollection!

When I lived in Pittsburgh I went to every game, but never bought season ticket packages. I live in Baltimore now and hate driving long distances. Yes to me 4 hours is way too long to sit in a car, so I drive to Pittsburgh maybe 3-4 times per year max. So I just get tickets from various sources when I do decide to go. But I watch every game on TV and even online. I watched the YSU game on my iPhone in the emergency room at a hospital when I had taken someone to be examined that day because she was very sick. And yes, I feel free to say whatever I like good or bad on the Lair, you don't need to pay anything or anybody to have the right of free speech.

Season ticket holder for about 10 years now. I'm at at least 90-95% of the games. Only road trips I've made were to WVU, the first visit being 13-9. I had plane reservations to go to the Fiesta Bowl, but they messed up my seats and I didn't end up making it.

Had season tickets every year from 1990-2011. Yes; I started getting them during the spectacular Hackett era and went through the gauntlet that was the 90s. That was replaced by competitive teams but many soul crushing losses from 2000-2010. The Fraud fiasco pissed me off to the point where I didn't get tickets in '12 and '13. I was at the win over ND in 2013 and was enough to start getting tickets last year and this.

Season ticket holder. 4 hour drive one way to each game from northeastern PA.
Make 70% of home games, sell the remaining 30% but try to make sure seats are filled.

Go to 1 or 2 road games a year as well. Normally 1 (this year made 2, Akron & Georgia Tech)

live in chicago, 2 in north club for four years, went to 1 - 2 games/year berofe that, even when i lived in california. been going to games since 36-35 comeback against WVU in 1970

Have had season tickets since Crazy Paco bullied me into it back in 1999. Before then, it was just individual games. I'll make 3/6 this year, but my tickets are always used.

I haven't been down since the opener. Severe back spasms compounded by cataracts. Blind and crippled ain't no way to live life. Once I get the cataracts taken care of I'll be back in the race.

Was always curious about the posters on the Lair.
"when available".... that's cute....

Season holder of two shared with some other guys down in Central PA. Section 135 on the aisle about 25 rows up. Theoretically great seats if only they would prohibit people from the aisle during game play. They are used every week by someone and we flip a coin when we choose to attend en mass and the loser buys tickets elsewhere....

Have been a season ticket holder since I graduated in 2002, though I rarely make the trip up to actually use my tickets much anymore.
We keep the tickets because we support the program.
I think there are a bunch of people like that, judging from how many yellow seats I see that are open in the lower bowl. I would rather see someone from far away buying seats to support the program than someone buying them because they are cheap and using them for 1 game per year. Kudos to you.

We buy two tickets.

I have attended every Pitt football game starting with the 1971 season (my freshman year) to the present. I have 4 seats in Section 135.

4 clubs in 205 since 2010. Been going since I was a little kid with my Dad and brother since about 1979. He always had 6 season tix. Lots of bad games in the late 80's and mid 90's. At least I remember the Marino and Doleman years.

I was a season ticket holder for 17 years. I attended most games and it was about an 8 hour drive for me. I gave them up in part because of the idiotic decision to can Wannstedt and also because I knew it was going to be more difficult to attend due to the family work schedule at that time.

Canning Wannstedt was one of the best things Smiley ever did.

Since 1973, Pitt fan since 1946 Jimmy Joe Robinson was one of my early favorites. BB season tickets a year after the opening of the Pete.

You da man, op. Jimmy Joe Robinson - first black player in Pitt football history and was a freshman when he was just 16. Marched with Dr. King thereafter. Very important man in Pittsburgh Civil Rights. Here's him and his wife being interviewed by his grandkids.

Season ticket holder going back to Pitt Stadium. I currently own 16 season tickets that I dole out to various friends and family.

That is a batchit crazy statement. Pitt football has been an embarrassment since the day Wanny was fired, up until the day Narduzzi was hired. I take it you enjoy 6 win football, mediocre recruiting, and constant coaching turnover.

TD,
I apologize I omitted every home game is what I meant. I do attend 2 or 3 away games also each year.

I also sit in 135 a few rows behind Spindler. Through rain snow heat and many bad games Spindler is there. He failed to mention his wife --- she's always rooting on the Panthers. They are true Panther Fans. H2P.

In all those years of Pitt football that I've witnessed the lowest point was Paul Hackett. I sat in Pitt Stadium with a paper bag on my head with a circle and line painted on the bag that read- I can't Hackett anymore. I told all my Pitt friends if Hackett returned for another season I would cancel my season tickets. Needless to say Pitt fired him and I continued to attend Pitt football.
So when things get bad about Pitt football I reach back to memories of Paul Hackett and things don't look too bad.
Now with PN the present and future of Pitt football appears to be reaching great heights again. H2P !
