Huge suspension for VT

Tyrece Radford, the team's minutes leader and 2nd leading scorer and rebounder has been suspended and it seems like its going to be a lengthy one. This is big for Pitt, not only because we play them next week but it probably knocks them down a peg from the "pretty safely in" category to a team that's going to be right around that Last 4 In/First 4 Out with Pitt fairly soon.

But Young is a fantastic coach. My God, he'd look at Stallings and say "wow, I wished Buzz left me that much talent." Some of us forgave Stallings somewhat for inheriting only 2 P5 level underclassmen from Dixon. That helped lead to 0-19. Well, Young, in Year 2, has 1 player leftover from Buzz (and Bede is average 4.6 PPG). He turned over an entire roster and is challenging for the NCAA Tournament.

2) Radford had the highest ORTG offensive power ranking in the entire ACC last year. He's currently 11th in the entire league this year. He is their best player and is a massive loss on both ends of the floor.

3) His career is in major trouble. He's facing 3 class 1 misdemeanors on DUI and a Concealed weapon charge while drunk. And it could get bumped up to a felony. He's facing a potential long jail sentence. Virginia Tech loves to bend the rules in situations like this, but not with a gun involved.
