Hugley a Big Baller

It is nice news that he is invited to one of the several (many?) all star games for graduating HS seniors.

I am also happy he will be wearing the blue and gold next season and, I hope, making an immediate positive contribution.

That being said, until now I had never heard of this particular game and have no idea if it is at all prestigious. If I am like other Pitt fans my reaction is that I am happy he is considered talented enough to play in this game and in the Roundball Classic game but it doesn't seem this is equivalent to playing in the McDonald's AA game which, were it the case, would suggest that Hugley might play like a one and done typically does at Duke, UNC or Kentucky, etc.

With Hugley and Coulibaly, I expect scoring out of the post next season.

It's exciting for him. The BBB game has only been around for 2 years. I think its players are not quite as universally acclaimed as the MAA kids but they're still - by and large - some of the best players in the country.

Most of these guys are 4* and high-3* players. Some, like Jahmi'us Ramsey, Rocket Watts, and Jalen Hill, went on to be good college players.

It's exciting for John. Good for him! I'll try to tune in so I can see him in action.

Those guys are trending as offensive bigs. Better rebounding is probable, defense will likely be mediocre next season.

Agree that the freshman likely won't provide great post defense--especially early on. However, overall post defense might not drop too much since Brown will still contribute and Coulibaly should be improved.

Speaking of the Ball family. I have been impressed with the improvement Lonzo Ball has made in his game, and I’m pleased by the fact old man Ball has shut his trap.

Congrats to Hugley!

Didn't Lonzo greatly distance himself from his father and the BBB brand? That probably has more to do with less Lavar in the media than him actually shutting up.

He's not involved with them no more I think he broke off from them. That's why you don't hear about it no more.
I read that letter in a Lavar Ball voice. I'll bet he actually wrote it too. He uses the same exact phrase/sentence twice in about four lines of text.

Best move the kids could make.

They couldn’t get far enough away from that buffoon. The way he uses his kids to advance himself is shameful. His 15 minutes should have long been over. Scumbag.

And make no mistake - this tournament is for nothing other than him trying to revive his garbage brand. I hope it fails spectacularly.

No the dad is not with BBB no more his ex business partner is going forth with the brand!

Oh ok They had some problems and were splitting so I just didn't know they worked things out so my mistake!

You’re good! I keep tabs with them for some reason, I think LaVar is an idiot so it’s funny to me. But yeah Lonzo is definitely out of the picture. Idk about the old business partner who stole money though.
