Hypothetical. If Addison is somehow available at #32...

My dream draft is Johnson Jr. or Skoronski at 17 and Addison at 32. However, if the coaching staff/front office is as high on Calvin Austin as they appear to be, I could see them going front seven or cornerback with the latter pick.

Steelers still need interior defensive lineman, linebacker help and a couple OL. Now if he is still around in say the third round......but honestly I wouldn't hate Wayne in say the fifth round. Everyone seems to forget he played with Kenny longer than any receiver.

I don’t know. As much as I want Wayne to succeed, I think he would’ve been better off returning for one more year. Might be better options in that range.

So, hypothetically, if the Steelers really wanted Addison, the only way I see this working is trading Johnson if Addison is still available after they pick 17th. Maybe Johnson is worth a first round pick to some team drafting 18-31; then the Steelers swap second round picks with that team and pick up another late rounder. Just "off the top of my head", but it might make sense. As others said, Pickett and Addison had a chemistry in college. So did Burrows and Chase at LSU and they reunited in Cinci

Addison reminds me a lot of the skinny kid from Bama that the Eagles took a couple of years ago DeVonta Smith (who has had a pretty good year this year). He’s definitely talented enough to be an impact player in the NFL but I am curious to see how he’ll hold up when he starts getting popped regularly by NFL LBs and safeties.

In their perfect world they will take a left guard with the first pic. They will stick with Dan Moore for now. I think Dotson is up for new contract in 1 year. The next 2 picks will be for one of these positions MLB, DL, CB

There is a bigger need at other positions then bringing in Addison. Steelers always find good receivers in late rounds then taking higher

great question and i wouldnt take him with our first rd pick but yeah, i would be tempted at #32. DJ, Pickens and addison in the slot is intriguing..

At 47 maybe. Not 32. Too many other critical needs.
47? Man, he'll be long gone by then.

how about that Jackson-Smith dude from Ohio State in rd 2? Again, not an outside guy, think he's 6' nothing but so is addison. And ohio state Wrs do well in the nfl.

I'm torn with all the other needs. That online needs help and with 17 mill in cap space I don't think free agency will cure it
They can get to about 45 million in cap space by cutting Witherspoon, Trubisky and William Jackson and restructuring Watt and Fitzpatricks deals. They can get another 10 million if they cut Jack, although i think they'll keep him. They have a decent amount of cap space to play with.

Unless they are trading Dionte there is no way they pick a WR in the first 2 rounds. Zero chance. I cant even believe people are even entertaining the possibility

No
We already have Dionte Johnson / who is Addison with experience
I was a fan of Dionte; this past season though, not so much. Maybe it was his habit of catching a ball and running backwards; maybe it was his inconsistency; maybe it's his large number of catches with minimal yds/catch and 0 tds; maybe it's his huge salary with again, 0 tds

Look, Addison has his issues, but if he and KP could revive the magic they had together @ Pitt, it might serve the Steelers well going forward. As I stated in an earlier post, Joe Burrow and JaMarr Chase are proving that @ Bengals

If they can get there through free agency then addison is a take

He doesn’t add something we don’t have in the wr room currently

The offense is going to need to score points to keep up with the rest of the AFC North.
I say draft a LT first pick and if Addison is there at 32, you absolutely take him.
Then DL, CB, and LB next .
If Addison is there at 32, he will be a Steeler.

I doubt he runs at the combine. I think he's a mid to high 4.4 guy and risks clocking in the 4.5s on the electronic system at the combine.
Kenny just said he runs a 4.3 and on a good day could clock higher.

It’s a thin WR class so jordan isnt likely to be there at 17, let alone 32. If anyone dreams of Addison wearing black and gold, they better hope JA does run the 40 and has a really bad day.

I think you’re right. He’s a 1st half of round 1 pick if he doesn’t run the 40.

Unless he improved a good bit in college, I would be surprised to see him run a 4.3. He was an 11 second 100m kid coming out of high school. 6.65 in the 55m.

Obviously it's possible to improve in college like Skyy Moore did.
