Well Phoenix is having buyer remorse over cam Jonson widely regarded as a draft mistake
His chance to improve will be greater with pro coaching and full time practicesWhere is his upside? He isnt going to grow. His strength in college is in the paint. He doesn’t have the size to do that in the nba. He doesn’t have the skills from the outside as a shooter or a slasher to the rim. Nice college player but it doesn’t translate to the nba. Add it free throw shooting and defense and he doesn’t have the right skill set
Old people are gonna call every teenager/early 20s person a millenial from now until about 2055 haha
and every millennial calls anyone over 40 a "boomer"
I don't use that phrase pretty much ever but if I did, it would apply to people currently at/over 60. I haven't forgot Gen X just yet! They had their run too. Haha.and every millennial calls anyone over 40 a "boomer"
or anyone who might be older than you and opposes your views....thsts the modt common boomer usage these days.Nah. We have a way better grasp of generations. Especially since some of us are pushing 40 ourselves.
Well if they see potential and development - that means overseas or the D League. And if he's is truly a development player - they aren't usually drafted in the first round.People keep saying that and while it may be true it’s not as important as you think. It’s about what the NBA sees as potential and their ability to develop him. And they can do that for as many hours as they like once he’s a pro.

Correct - it’s all about upside - not being a finished productSo you think all 30 1st rounders are deemed ready for the NBA? Please.
You happen to remember a guy named Steven Adams? He was nowhere NEAR ready. Lottery pick.
And I know a yea but is coming because he’s a 7 footer. But the point remains 30 1st rounders are in no way shape or form are seen as NBA ready.
Upside is usually taking someone with physical attributes and developing their skills. You cannot teach someone who is 6'6 to be 6'10".Correct - it’s all about upside - not being a finished product
If teams feel they can improve his handle and get him stronger on the perimeter as a guard -wing
They are going to take him because his instincts and athleticism is nba ready- and those are the things they can’t teach
CorrectUpside is usually taking someone with physical attributes and developing their skills. You cannot teach someone who is 6'6 to be 6'10".
It’s all about potential unless your incredibly skilled or a physical freak ( in a good way ) .So you think all 30 1st rounders are deemed ready for the NBA? Please.

Yes they can improve his perimeter skillsIt’s all about potential unless your incredibly skilled or a physical freak ( in a good way ) .
How many 6’5” guys are there that shoot 33% from the college 3 pt line ? Can a 6’5” guy who struggles guarding college guys defend in the NBA ? Can a 6’5” guy dominate the boards in the NBA ? Is there a place in the NBA for a 6’5” guy who isn’t special from 3 who also has problems creating his own offense ? If only he was a legitimate 6’8” !
He needs more tools in his toolbox for the NBA ....overseas or stay another yr at Pitt .
But if someone wants to guarantee him a pile of cash take it .
Right, the question is can those skills improve enough to be an NBA player. Only time will tell.Yes they can improve his perimeter skills
Steven Adams is seven feet tall. And no...every first rounder isn’t ready for the NBA - that’s why they get sent overseas or to the G or D League...whatever it is now days.So you think all 30 1st rounders are deemed ready for the NBA? Please.
