I am getting a headache

I think it'd be cool to see it in red zone situations, but anything else? Nope.

There's a reason why people pay big bucks for 50-yard line seats and not the endzone.

Speaking of big bucks, maybe this is all being done so fans can get frustrated from the sky cam and go to more games. Genius

This is terrible. No wonder ratings are down. Is every Thursday night game like this?

They had to do it in the fog game last week in New England.

They’re claiming that the response was overwhelming positive, but I find that hard to believe. It is literally unwatchable.

Steelers uniforms rock...

Better than the traditional look

Of course I’m a fan of Pitts all blue with blue helmet look too so I guess I’m biased

No possible way. I used to think the NFL was infallible. I no longer feel that way.

I just checked it out after seeing this thread.

Not for me.

It reminds me of the camera technique that started 8 or 10 years ago where the cameraman gives a view like a home video person would. All jerky in the movements. Zoom in and out. Focus in and out.

Although, as bad as the visuals are, the sound of Chris Collinsworth's voice is enough for me to change the channel.

FWIW, they seem to be using it less and less. Maybe viewers have been flooding the network with complaints?

I'll admit, the skycam is pretty cool when you get to see corners jumping routes and linebackers blitzing gaps. It also gives a better view into how Bell waits for holes to open up & hits them.

Watching the Steelers game with sky cam.

This sucks
It really does suck. It’s like sitting high in the end zone. I like to see where the progress of the play is on the field and you can’t with this view They just said the viewers love it.

What viewers? Where?

I feel like i’m Sitting in one of the end zones at Pitt Stadium
Our tickets are in the North Club in Heinz Field, and we love them for many reasons but I have to admit the weakest link is the lack of depth perception when it comes to yardage. Many times we have to watch the TV's for the details.

NFL network's facebook page was barraged with negative comments about the angle. I didn't mind it for replays, but not for the majority of the plays. I stopped watching at halftime so maybe the comments actually had an effect if they decreased the amount of plays at that angle.

There's a reason why the sideline seats cost more than the EZ seats.
What I hate is it looks like a guy got stuffed for no gain, but it was a gain of 7! LOL!.

Not a fan of the angle either for the most part. I do like it on running plays but you can't get the full field in the shot the majority of the plays. So you have WRs out wide not in the screen.

Would prefer the regular view overall.

I think it would work better if the angle was higher. I have sat in the end zone on the lower deck and it is hard to discern a 5 yard play from a 25 yard play. And you are getting the same thing here. If the angle was a bit higher, you would get a better perspective of the field and boundaries.

It was said during the game that they are attempting to cater to the ones who, according to the network, are used to seeing that view of the field while playing a football video game.

When you see things wrong, shouldn't you call them out? Right now in Pitt sports, things are easily 90% negatives.
Yep. Agree. And they should be called out. Maybe more than once. But over and over by the same people and it becomes counterproductive and tiresome.

Since every network has at least 3 or 4 channels, put it on an alternate channel. Same as CFB does for the championship game with that coaches room

You could still keep the same audio and run the same replays.

I have a buddy with a 3 TV rig in his man cave. Also, bars could alternate TVs with it. Would be cool to see both

So don't throw it out, but as the main angle for a game you care about its brutal

I watched the Pitt OSU game via sky cam. It was kinda cool. You got to see what the QB saw - receivers running wide open across the middle.
