Have to admit I didn't think this would ever happen like this. Dixon should be given a standing ovation on his way out. He took us to new heights and I am grateful for his time here. He is a great coach, and a better man. Had he peaked at pitt? Perhaps. As always I will be 100% behind our team and our new coach. Time to move on, but one final round of applause for coach dixon. You will be missed my friend.

It hasn't quite sunk in yet for me. But when it does, I'll be sad.

I'm sure we'll find a capable successor. But for now, I'll probably be sad.

You see it every day out in the real world, you either adapt yourself to changes or you don't. Some people simply can't or won't adjust; grasping onto what once worked until the candle burns out. The signs were clear; Jamie seemed to become overly defensive towards the possibility that some things needed to be altered or upgraded.

I wish Jamie Dixon the absolute best and it also saddens me to see it end in this manner, yet I am happy that he is going someplace where he will undoubtedly be appreciated. I started at Pitt in 2000 with the Howland regime and I credit both Jamie and Ben for some of my best collegiate memories. Best of luck to him and I echo the hopes that there is an opportunity for Pitt fans to properly say goodbye after some of the negative emotion of being "dumped" wears off. There are few classier coaches out their than Jamie Dixon and he deserves it.

Maybe give him the ovation when we play Gonzaga in the make up game.
