I like Femi

Morton? He’ll be fine. He had Mono. They’ve had covid issues. Put all that together he’s gonna see limited time in a loaded big ten.
He’ll work and get better or he’ll transfer. Im
Hoping he does well there

unfortunately looks like Robby will have to transfer to play with all the injuries he’s had.

Don‘t forget Femi was involved in a pretty seriously moped accident this summer and missed a lot of practice time and he isn’t yet back to where he was physically before it happened.

I don't understand why any Pitt fan would wish him well. He thought he was too good for us. Eff him. I hope he rides the pine for 4 years.
We didn’t recruit him hard. We recruited his AAU teammate harder than anyone. Why would you wish Ill upon a KID from Western PA. It’s just stupid. #Recruitsreadstheseboards

Kind’ve odd to have any real ill will against Morton. He wanted to go somewhere else. He’ll likely have a solid but not spectacular career.

Who cares. Femi is just as good with a higher ceiling. Neither are going to be program changing or anything.

And it’s not like Purdue is a rival or anything

This is the correct take. There’s literally no reason to care how he does other than to dump on me for the original comparison if Femi has a great career because I sure as hell won’t bring him up

I have no idea what happened in the Morton recruitment... some say he was never interested, others say we weren’t that interested late.. who knows.

I do think it’s tricky with locals if they aren’t a sure stud. Like Morton is someone who would help us but he’s also not good enough to not be recruited over, and it always looks bad to screw over local kids. But it also looks bad when u don’t land them. So Idk what the right move is

I said this before, but Lance White (the women's coach) is of the opinion that you only recruit local players if you know they are going to be big contributors. He worries that if you bring in a local and all they become is a role player (or worse) that too many people will say "why won't they play so and so, she was great in high school?"

If you’re deep and take a flyer like Luther and cam -
Who ended up being good players

I would say he's definitely a better shooter than Jaron, but that's all I'd give him at this stage. My memory of Jaron is he didn't have much of an outside shot, especially his first year or so.

Not outside, but Boeheim must still get the sweats thinking about JB nailing jumpers from the paint in the middle of that 2-3. One of the reasons JD owned Cuse.
