I do share your sentiment that yellen, will be a better qb than KP in the future,
But two things: 1. Ariz state ran a completely different offense and I suspect
he isn't acclimated yet to Pitts. 2. Beville (SPelling) came in for a play last wk when
kenny came out. So, I don't know who would start if KP cant play or leaves the
game due to re-aggravating his injury.
i doubt either qb with limited snaps will light up Miami. Pitt will need to win
a 17-16 tye game... jmho

This actually isn't a sentiment post. I have no idea if Yellen is any good in our system or not. However, I do know for a fact it was Yellen and not Beville that came in last week for those 2 run plays.
To he honest Kenny hasn't been bad, but hypothetically speaking, how hard would it be to bench a senior quarterback that has taken you to an ACC championship and is in year 3 as a starter....I don't know the answer, but I know any spark this offense can get.....you take.

Yellen came in against BC. Beville came in against NC State. I'm guessing, and it's just a guess, that they were rotating the backups as long as they didn't need one for longer than a play or two. Had they needed to play one or the other several series we may have seen something different in either or both of those two games.
