I remember him playing against Pitt - He was not bad and is experienced

Gibbs's best friend, SHU starting PG Jaren Sina is also transferring. We recruited Sina fairly hard out of HS but he hasn't been very good thus far in college. He'd have to sit a year, unlike Gibbs, but perhaps the staff would want to bring him in as an emergency replacement to James Robinson in 16-17 if we can't get anybody better. If anything, he'd be a good backup but Newkirk is an OK backup as it is. Not sure how many backup PG's we need. If Newkirk or Sina need to start for us after JRob leaves, we could be in trouble. That said, if we had to cut Newkirk loose to get the Gibbs/Sina combo, I'm all for that. Gibbs is worth 3-4 extra wins next year.
