USC was a program in disarray.

Kaleb Williams still has a lot to prove as a passing QB. He averaged around 226 yards passing per game (which is about average; OR 18 yards passing per game ahead of DJ at Clemson last year). That’s a huge drop off from Slovis was doing and a massive reduction in comparison to what Pickett did last season.

Pitt has their entire OL and RBs returning. I can’t imagine USC is anywhere near that. Plus, the offensive terminology didn’t change once Cignetti arrived and he’ll have to learn a new offense at USC.

Plus, there’s team chemistry issues. Who knows how all these transfers will mesh for a single season.

This will neither advance him professionally nor as a player.

The only way the move makes any sense is $$$$ and material items (house/owned outright not just have for one year, car, jewelry, etc.)… and rumor is that Pitt has matched it.

If Pitt matches the $$$ (factoring in CA taxes; he would make like over $200k more on $2 million to stay at Pitt), this is a REALLY BAD LOOK for Addison.
