If SMF was ACC commish

That LSU vs Bama regular season game a few seasons ago, yes I watched that. A random Saturday Auburn vs Florida game, only if i exhausted all other options of doing something else. Now in all fairness, 15 years ago i would have watched Miss St vs Vandy I was that much of a junkie. But the game and "gala" along with my priorities have changed, and I no longer do that.
you know what's weird, and this falls on my being weird more than anything. when i was a young impressionable sports fan (mid 80's)i hated KDKA / CBS. dont ask me why but i did and that went into not only late 80's/early 90's with CBS and verne lundquist doing sec games but really showed with my hatred for the NFC and especially john madden and pat summerall. i literally cant stand to this day the voices of those two and in a smaller degree, dislike the SEC..

i have such a warm spot for the old NBC coverage not only in NFL (pre fox) but also the big college games like the orange bowl. I love the voices of those announcers, bob trumpy, paul maguire (both in college and the afc games) dick enberg. i recently watched an old steelers playoff game when Bam Morris scored and Paul Maguire was doing game and said "how he knew he had to get in" and it brought chills to my arms..

could watch some of those nebraska/miami orange bowl early 90's games with dick enberg any day of the week. Ok, thats my irrelevant walk down memory lane.

The big draw to the SEC for me was CBS treating the 3:30 Saturday game like it was the only sporting event on TV for the day. Awesome theme music, Verne on the mic, really college football did not get much better than that for me.
