What about the bowl game vs. Houston?
No excuse to blow a 20 pt. lead with the ball four minutes to go.
Are you serious? That game meant zippo, less than a spring game. That's all you got?

1984... The Year The Bottom Fell Out. Spilled by BYU. BYU was that school that played in the Holiday Bowl every year and beat up on Utah and Wyoming.... blown out by Oklahoma. Watch that YouTube... it was a game for a while but Pitt mistakes helped OU to a lopsided win.... nipped at Temple. Losin to the Owls was a bad omen.... ripped by WVU. 0-4 start, a sickening tie with Navy thrown into a 1-3-1 midseason "surge". But Pitt beat Penn State 31-11 to finish on a high note. That year was wretched after such high preseason hopes.

So to you, any bowl game that isn't the NC game is meaningless? I guess in you're world Pitt might never have a meaningful game ever again. You're like one of those asshole fans that quit watching games for the year as soon as your team is eliminated from playoff contention because "it doesn't mean anything", but to me, every time I watch any game it means who's going to WIN TODAY, that's meaningful enough for me. The Steelers could be 0-15 and I'd be watching game 16, hoping for a win JUST FOR TODAY, doesn't have to mean anything more, just today's entertainment, with no concern for the future,
it was played between two teams with interim coaches with nothing on the line....no rankings, no chance of a ten win season. Nothing. So mr. superfan, go back to the pitch and continue to cheer on from home. I'll be at Heinz this weekend.
Dude, you're a fckd up fan, there doesn't have to be anything big on the line for a game to matter.
"no rankings, no chance of a ten win season"
By these criteria NOTHING has been on the line for Pitt 30 of the last 35 years.
Maybe that game didn't matter to you, but it mattered to me, a winning season was on the line, 7-6 instead of 6-7.
I'll be at the pitch tomorrow and Sunday, and yes, my daughter matters more than the 80 18-22 year old assholz that I don't know on the Pitt roster. I'm free next Saturday so I'll be at the GT game. That will be my one game I attend this year, I have other priorities.
Fans like you make me laugh! Being a fan of a program like Pitt and acting like anything less than a NC doesn't matter.
You wouldn't watch your own kids over a Pitt game? I'll see the Marshall game on TV.once again on the pitch instead of in the stands. And you call out other fans. Classic.

How many of you here miss your kids sports events to see every Pitt game?
Pitt never wins that battle, fck Pitt! What can I say, I make my choice, if that makes me a helicopter parent, so be it.
Ladies & Gentlemen, I give you the problem with our fanbase, summarized in one post.
