... in this Tournament.

Oregon losing by 7 to St. Joes with 5 to go.

The PAC 12 gamed the RPI system this year.... and as a result, got more teams into the dance than they deserved - and they got higher seeds than they deserved.

The proof is in the pudding. The ACC, sans Pitt, has proven itself. 38% of the Sweet 16 is from one conference..

Oregon, Cal, and Arizona are all pretty good teams. Bad break for Cal leading up to the tournament.

OSU and USC were borderline at best. OSU not the same team without Tres Tinkle. Utah is ok, but was way overseeded.

I'm still not sure why OSU and USC got in, in my opinion SDSU and St Mary's were better.

You always forget about Colorado, and they played Uconn pretty tough.

It's hard for me to make sweeping generalities, but the Pac-12 sure looked bad. I thought Zona caught a tough seed, opponent, location, but that can happen. Like you said, Cal just had a multitude of issues with the broken hand, the assistant coach.

They just seemed in general to be overseeded. No way Oregon St was a 7, USC an 8, or even Utah a 3. Other than Cal and Arizona, I think every Pac-12 school might have been a line higher than I would have had them.

Damn you're right, that's twice now I've omitted the Buffs. I like Tad Boyle, but he's one of those guys who will have them in contention for a bid almost every year, but probably will never get them any farther than the Sweet 16.
