Any chance we flip this kid? How can he not see we are going to get him the ball in bunches, Pitt is a world class education, and he can have friends family watch him. I understand his views given past offenses but after 10 games of tightend drops he has to be reconsidering. Any one know him or his family? Any changes? Talk about a chance to be a hometown hero at a position of need. Hail to Pitt and good luck to the kid either way. Hope he does well just not against Pitt (conference game).

Wonder how Travis Koontz feels about his decision. He would have caught a lot more balls here.

They will find a TE, I am confident. They have the tape and can show that Whipple wants to throw to the TE. A good TE would light it up in his offense.

I'm also confident they will recruit WRs and QBs well in the future. He wants to throw the ball.

agree about Whipple's effect on recruiting with WR's ,Qb's and TE's. But e what about running backs? I see where Parrish will not sign until February and it looks like Miami and South Carolina are very much in the mix.I know we have a solid prospect coming in the next class from NYC area and we have a verbal for 2021. I think college running backs today must be able to block and catch the ball as well if they want to play in the league.

Parish doesn't have a committable offer to Miami or he would be there already. Plus they already have 20 signed, including 1 RB and transfer RB from Auburn who sat this year.

Not saying it can't happen but it happens to be a numbers game and so far at least they haven't given him the green light.

Rawlings came out the reason he didn’t choose Pitt because he didn’t like the campus

You can't blame kids for making decisions based on their tastes and likes. But between playing at home in of front of family and friends and the great opportunity that Whipple's offense presents to an aspiring T.E. one would think there is still a shot.

Even though I’m disappointed that Rawlings chose Virginia, I had no problem with the way he conducted himself during the process. He didn’t belittle or insult Pitt and he made his decision swiftly.

Good luck to him, but unfortunately I won’t be following his career...

Yep he said he didn’t want to be in the city, he wanted to be in a “college town”. Nothing Pitt can do about that. I think he is a decent prospect but his film does not jump out. I believe with Wright and yes another grad transfer we will be good at the spot next year.

We can now actually show kids film how our OC gets TEs open and throws them the ball. Hopefully they have hands unlike the 2 playing now.

Some kids need to leave the area, some want something new. There are top recruits spurning their local colleges to come to PITT. TE is a need. We have Wright and Collier on the bench
