Jaland Lowe to Kentucky?

He obviously struggled a lot this year with efficiency and poor shooting, but I’m sure Pope will put him in a better opportunity to succeed than he had here.

I don't see the fit. Kentucky runs a free flowing ball sharing offense. Interesting to see if Lowe fits in. Big downgrade from Lamont Butler imo.

Good for him. Certainly a huge upgrade and likely more money. Will be interesting to not only see how well he does but also if his level/style of play changes with a different staff. This could be a really interesting comparison (ie damning) of Capel staff.

Let's see how he does with actual coaching and a viable planned offensive scheme. He's a talented kid who will probably thrive not being "The Guy", like he did when he ran with Bub Carrington.

Guess we know Cohren won't be following him wherever he goes. Honestly, I'm not incredibly saddened by this. We don't know what his role will be there. They're also not quite the program they once were (obviously they're still quite a few tiers above Pitt).

Didn't read the whole thread, but a lot of them seem pretty lukewarm on this. As they should. I do think he's an asset in the right situation, but if he's your primary point guard you're in trouble.

Like I said this could end up being an indictment on Capels staff. If he excels and becomes more well balanced then it will confirm what most think of Capels coaching abilities.

I just don’t think he’s a well rounded high level player. Hes weak physically (which maybe UK can address). He’s not a plus athlete or at least I havnt seen him exhibit those traits, he can’t go to his right (which maybe the UK staff can address) and his basketball Iq is low. So there’s some things coaching can fix and others it is what it is.

He was not put in a position to succeed here. He was the best option available to lead the offense Capel insists on running regardless of the personnel he has.

I think his volume will go way down and his efficiency will go up by a good amount, and I bet he'll be more effective on defense too. He won't be all SEC there but will be an asset to the team.

Damn, Kentucky is going to loaded next year after picking up Quaintance. Get ready to hear Lowe's name a ton...
