From his twitter account last night:

"Following our team-wide testing, I was notified that I had tested positive for COVID-19. I have begun self-isolation and look forward to continuing our season soon."

Wishing him a speedy recovery!!

To resurrect an old discussion--it wasn't that bare, IMO. It could have been salvaged --if any kind of halfway-adequate point guard was brought in immediately and the coach who was hired was one with the charisma to have done tht plus kept Cam Johnson. IMHO, had that occurred, Dixon's departure could have resulted in merely a hiccup vs the collapse that occurred by Barnes terrible hire. Just my opinion, however.

That team had terrible senior leadership. I posted in past about them and their behavior off the court so there isn't a reason to repost but that team had more issues beyond needing a point guard.

Eh, there was nothing on deck. Kithcart, Wilson, Manigault, Clark (pre-injury), Nix... I mean, are you kidding me? That's a terrible foundation.

The team was set up to have one good year at best and then take a complete nosedive. Good luck finding anyone who was going to keep Cam and Luther home. They knew what Pitt had after Young and Artis left. And if you're going to criticize Stallings for not magically bringing in a point guard, you could pretty much do the same with Capel not being able to find a big man who could come in and contribute early in his tenure... apparently it's a task that is easier said than done.

While watching parts of a few TCU games this year, I didn’t see Jamie wear his mask for more than 1 second on the bench.

That senior leadership went from bad to terrible after Jamie left. I remember Harve sending me messages about stories of what was going on behind closed doors (he said he had an inside source). Just goes to show how a few bad attitudes can poison the locker room. That, and botching the coaching hire.

The difference, of course, being that one of those guys tried to bring the needed player in and failed, and the other couldn't even be bothered to try.

Lol. I forgot you're always the smartest guy in the room. Yeah - a college basketball coach making $2.5M/year just said, "Screw it; I don't need a point guard." Lololol.

Well you seem to forget that the majority of the people posting on this board didn't think we needed one either.

Oddly enough, you don't see many of them fessing up to that.

Come on. That’s a cop out. Jaime was and is done.

However, you can still feel that way like me, yet Iove him for the good times he brought our way. We’ll likely never be back to his level.

Jaime, Jamie, love him either way.😊
