I'm not huge on this staff, but Dixon knows he needs Texas guys. I really think Brandin would have been in play there but he is trying to get Brandin the Pitt job or he knows Brandin will have a shot as an assistant in the BE, ACC, A10 footprint.

Well it does make you scratch your head a little when you consider all the speculation that one of the things driving him away was Barnes maybe pushing him to make some staff changes and/or tweak the OOC schedule. If it was ruffling his feather to change his staff, you'd think there may have been at least one he'd want to take with him. I guess that one could still be Brandon.

First, it's a complete and total strawman to ever, ever suggest that my reality was that Pitt Basketball was utopia. If you really believe this, than you must never have read, or at least never understood one word of anything I said.

Let's focus on what Pitt needs.
BK was never going to TCU. It makes 0 sense. Its time for him to be a head coach in the MAAC, CAA, America East, or NEC, if not at Pitt. If he doesn't land a HC job, going to the Big 12 with the same boss is senseless. He has no recruiting contacts there and he needs to add another boss to his resume.
