Jeff Capel and Staff

Saw them this morning at Pamela’s Diner in Oakland. Im not sure if Au’Diese Toney was there with them or not because to be honest I wouldn’t recognize him in person, but Jeff, Jason Capel, Marlon Brown and the players who are currently on campus for workouts this summer were there. Just seeing the staff interact with each other and the team it’s so clear how genuine these guys are and how much the players not only respect them, but love being around them and learning from them. It’s no surprise that they’re already pulling in such talent this early on, I think guys that age just have an immediate connection with Jeff, and his staff as well giving off the same vibes. They all seemed extra excited this morning as well like they knew they were getting Tony. Pretty cool to see this morning though and then see this news of them landing him this afternoon.

Back when Milan Brown was first hired, I remember reading a blurb about him that was as effusive with praise as one could be. The account is hit or miss in terms of the rumors they report, but at least some of the people who use it are definitely connected, so take it as you will:

O'Toole was in Ireland a while ago to recruit Aidan Igiehon, but I haven't heard much about him since then.

Capel and staff are doing a great job, but would love to see them get the next DeJuan Blair who can own the boards. Shooting is important, rebounding is critical.
