Jo-El Shaw

Bit of an interesting turn of events. After he decommitted to directional Michigan it seemed there wasn't much interest. Maybe Shaw is now considering the possibility of not playing RB since that was the hang up. Or did the coaches back off of that?

He is eligible, were out of it for Washington so maybe we're recruiting him for RB now?

He's a pretty good looking ILB isn't he? We could use a couple of those. Hopefully he's willing to go that route.

He's visiting Pitt because PN told him he wants to use him as a RB,would be funny if he turns out better than sanders

That would be absolutely fantastic if it happened. Dustin Picciotti and Lou Polite came out in the same class together. DP was #1 FB in the country and all everything player. LP was under the radar. We know how that turned out.

Would not be surprised either way. Shaw was every bit as good in the same backfield. Sanders has more the build I think to step his game up to the college level, but Shaw could turn out to be a more dangerous back. This is great news IMO, I didn't know this even happened until I saw the front page. Was this just today he decided to de-commit?

No, he decomitted a few weeks ago. The RB coach that recruited him accepted a position at Cuse, so people assumed that he may consider them. But he has spoken with Narduzzi, who said he could play RB. He was recruited originally to play LB.

Cuse and the original directional Michigan are the 2 others in his top 3

I'm thrilled about this! Recruit him at running back! Great call by Narduzzi IMO.

Although he's not as shifty as Sanders, Shaw has some great straight line speed and strength. Behind a big OL, he can do some serious damage.
