The Post Gazette slurps (I am sure everyone can get the idea) Kahn and everything Black & Gold unless they are instructed not to. See Kenny Picket for example. I don't think Kahn has proven to be a good GM. He has proven to take action but what has he solved yet?

• The OL was poor before he got the job. In the 2024 regular season Steelers average 4.1 yards a rush (26th) and allowed 49 sacks (24th). Note we are 29th in passing attempts meaning the sack rate has to be one of the worst in the NFL.
• QB play in 2023 was substandard. In 2024, our QBs had a higher QBR. An upgrade but now all qbs are UFA and we are faced with paying more for a position than we have since Ben with marginal improvement.
• LB play last year was substandard. Wilson and Herbig are good finds in the draft. Queen has been okay but not worth this salary (as of yet).

The OL remains a disaster which for a team that wants to run the ball cripples our offense. You cannot be a power running team with this OL. That more than anything explains our bad offense.

Now you can argue we should NOT run a power offense with this level of talent, but then ask yourself this: What kind of offense can you run with a poor OL, medicore talent at WR/TE, and a qb who excels at either deep passes down the side or short passes less than 8 yards? Even the last Bill Walsh or Don Coryell would throw their hands up with this group.

Neither of his two 1st round picks has done anything. Porter is a quality starter at CB. Roman Wilson is TBD. Washington looks to be a waste. I think Herbig and Wilson at LB are finds, but enough to make up for the lack of quality at the top of the draft?

I think Fantanau will be very good based on early returns before injury .

Not sure how Washington is a waste as a constant starter and amazing blocker .

What makes you think he doesn't have the lifetime contract from Rooney? I don't think he has enough human decency to step away on his own. I wonder if he really thinks going 500 or close every year is doing a great job? This franchise has become so sad!
